    Woke Star Wars: *fails*
    Disney: YAY!! Let’s make more!

While it was far from perfect, The Acolyte did some interesting things. Qimir is one of the more compelling characters introduced in a long time. Seeing Osha turn to the dark side and bleed a kyber crystal was both unexpected and satisfying. The narrative structure and pacing left a lot of room for improvement.

I also think Star Wars is like the cave on Degobah. It’s only woke if you bring woke with you. Let the stories take someplace far, far away and leave social agendas for places where they matter.

        Very well said.

Star wars was always woke anyways. These people are obsessed with “woke”.
Just enjoy the damn show ppl.

Qimir and Sean, you two need help.

The bleeding of the lightsaber being so easy that it breaks cannon (see order 66) is one of my reasons for dislike of the show.

Straying too far from Lucas’s canon in too many directions waters down the saga. We really don’t need wokeness in Star Wars. We have strong women in Rey and Leia and Osha was far too young to convince us she is an acolyte of Qirin or about to be under the tutelage of Darth Plageus. Try to be more “real” and so far out!

  3. No one can Expect fans to to embrace a show if ALL the main characters die before the end. Rogue 1 was the exception, it was supposed to remind how much sacrifice was made by both the Rebels& Empire.Fans want to embrase and grow with characters
Introducing New and Hyped up characters to then kill them off isn’t a good log term to Keep fan interested.

The issue was also the disrespect to already established cannon. It’s great to embellish and expand the world, but to blatently ignore and literally try and change what has gone before was both insulting to the previous films and shows, and a finger to the fans, and it felt this was intentional. There seems to be a movement within parts of Disney recently that seems hateful towards a certain group of star wars fans who have been with the franchise for a long time, and rather than embrace them, they seem to be actively trying to drive them away. Star wars was always about being all inclusive, and true fans have always embraced this. They can also suffer bad stories as long as the canon remains intact. What they don’t embrace, is when for no reason, it seems this is stepped on and ignored because some show runner, or director, wants to make a point, or stamp their ideas into the world we all love. Make star wars, it is not yours, it is all of ours, and should be made as such, not as a billboard or a launch pad for individuals.

So you lied. There is no season 2 of the Acolyte.

  6. Peter Parker

Bro is this real, I would be so geeked. This is the only sw show that I could sit down watch all the way through. I love this show so much, I would go crazy if there was a season 2 with the original cast.

  7. Didn’t Disney already cancelled the Acolyte already?

Let’s bury this show, and pretend it never happened. George Lucas would have never created such a series where everyone is gay and confused, why is sexual preference even a thing in the star wars universe? I couldn’t make it past episode 2.
