The guy was an invalid, confined to a wheelchair with a known spinal injury. He and his family rolled right by the posted warning signs, as well as the test seat. He rode the ride six other times that day. They filed a lawsuit in less than 24 hours before any investigation could be conducted. And according to the filed incident reports, all the other “injuries” were from guest in their 70s and 80s, and most complaints were due to things like dizziness.

universal is doing this correct thing, need to stand up to those ambulance chasing lawyers and this ridiculous suing culture

62 miles a hour can kill you in a car crash. In my opinion the speed should be reduced and certain people with disabilities are not able to be properly restrained at such a high speed for safety.

I think they need to add shoulder restraints and eliminate the possibility of upper body injuries, like they have on Rockin Roller Coaster. I personally don’t know if I will ride Stardust Racers or Velocicoaster, because they don’t have shoulder restraints.

Shoulder restrains have been moved away from in the ride industry because they have been found more unsafe. The problem is the ambulance chaser spreading lies about Universal safety procedures. Good job universal for standing your ground and reopening the best rollercoaster they’ve built !

Shoulder restraints have been removed on the newer rides because they are less capable of handling riders of various heights and sizes than the lap bars. I personally cannot tolerate Rock’n Roll Roller Coaster, but I have ridden Velocicoaster dozens of times. I am a senior citizen.
