A Disney Park tradition just got a bit more complicated for countless guests. One iconic Disneyland Park Mickey Mouse meet-and-greet has moved from its longstanding location due to construction in the area.

In 2020, Disneyland Paris Resort made a historic decision: due to staffing shortages, the Disneyland Railroad would no longer stop in Fantasyland. Instead of tearing down the Fantasyland Station, the European Disney park converted it into a meet-and-greet location for Mickey Mouse. However, earlier this year, Disneyland Paris Resort surrounded Fantasyland Station with scaffolding as part of a major refurbishment project. According to Disneyland Park guest reports, the construction barriers have begun to come down, but Mickey Mouse has yet to return to his meet-and-greet location.

On October 28, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos from Disneyland Park, where the Fantasyland Station clocktower is now visible, towering above the scaffolding and scrims. However, the Disney Park guest also confirmed that Mickey Mouse still isn’t signing autographs or posing for photos in the area.

Scaffolding is down around the clock tower of Fantasyland Station. Meet Mickey Mouse in Disneyland Park is currently unavailable, and is expected to reopen in early 2026. A temporary meet & greet location has been installed in the STUDIO D pre-show area. 🚧 #DisneylandParis

Luckily, Disney Park guests can still meet Mickey Mouse. According to the social media user and Disneyland Paris Resort’s website, the iconic Disney character is now stationed in the Studio D pre-show area. This theater is the former home of “Disney Junior Live On Stage!”.

Even though this meet-and-greet location is temporary, Disney PhotoPass service is available for guests. However, Disneyland Paris Resort notes that “this Character Encounter may be changed, delayed or removed without prior notice.”

It’s unclear when Mickey will return to his former meet-and-greet location in Fantasyland Station at Disneyland Park (Paris).
