Wolverine and Spider-Man have long been two of Marvel’s most popular superhero characters, each bringing a unique energy to the superhero world. Spider-Man, with his acrobatic web-slinging and witty quips, has dominated both comics and film for decades, while Wolverine, the clawed mutant with a regenerative healing factor, has been an X-Men staple since the late 1970s, known for his gruff personality and brutal combat style.

Both heroes have captivated fans across movies, animation, and gaming for a long time. And now, their worlds officially intersect in the gaming sphere.

During a recent interview with YouTube channel Kinda Funny Games, Insomniac Games’ Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar confirmed that both the “Marvel’s Spider-Man” trilogy of games and their upcoming “Marvel’s Wolverine” take place in Earth-1048.

This revelation comes shortly after the release of the “Wolverine” trailer, which teases Logan’s gritty adventures and signature claws in high-definition action.

While Insomniac’s “Wolverine” game promises a solo outing for Logan, the shared universe could hint at future crossovers, at least in the interactive medium. But we’ll just have to wait and see if a future installment will finally pair up two of comic books’ most iconic heroes.

It also remains to be seen what’s on the cards for the big screen, though, as neither Hugh Jackman nor Tom Holland are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming superhero ensemble Avengers: Doomsday (2026). In “Marvel’s Wolverine,” Logan is voiced by Liam McIntyre, and in the previous “Spider-Man” titles, Peter Parker is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

While Spider-Man and Wolverine have never crossed paths in live action, their digital worlds now officially overlap. “Marvel’s Wolverine” is set for release in 2026.
