Loudmouth, terrible actress in a show that was one of the major reasons why so many people stopped giving a damn about marvel isn’t the identity of she-hulk. The character has been around for nearly 50 years at this point. Maslany is an irrelevant footnote.

The budget wasn’t the reason for a lack of a second season. Woke is the reason. Nobody wants a show about a grippy girl who says men are bad. Throwing in a nasty rapper didn’t appeal to people either.

I’m not a gamer, so this news is underwhelming to me. Whether or not the She-Hulk series returns or Tatiana Maslany continues in the role somehow, she already had a very successful career in TV, movies and the Broadway stage, so she’ll be just fine going forward. I’ll happily watch her in whatever she does next. The fact that she seems to easily trigger MAGA keyboard warriors just adds to her appeal, frankly.

I enjoyed the She-Hulk show; it was great to see a female character who was educated, successful, and powerful. After all, Dr. Strange is a medical doctor, Tony Stark and Bruce Bannon are (were) brilliant engineers/ techies, Matt Murdock is an attorney, etc. We need an equally strong, educated, and brilliant female character in the MCU!

I enjoyed it also. In addition to the points you made, it also had a different comedic tone from other MCU projects that really set it apart. I especially like the “breaking of the fourth wall” concept they used at times, where characters were literally climbing out of the comic book pages. It was a fun approach.
