First…Depp and Heard both won in Court on their lawsuits…Depp was awarded $10M and Heard $2M…Depp’s was dismissed in the Appeals Court in Virginia filed by Heard and both parties came to an agreement and went their separate ways. Depp had his own problems with Disney in filming POTC, especially with his drinking and drug use and the last two POTC movies did not do well according to Disney so it appeared that fans were losing interest. Depp is now like 63 years old and not the Jack Sparrow those left over fans think of him so it’s time for a refreshing look no matter who they use. Depp is over the hill and to base Millions on a much reduced fanbase is a big gamble to take especially when Disney’ last handful of movies were losers other than Superman and Aquaman II which also had Amber Heard playing a very important part in that movie so let them throw the dice but outside of the initial release POTC will not do as Disney could have done with fresh meat!!!
Disney finally wised up. Depp is the best Capt Jack! He created the character. He only got better with age and wisdom. So pirates don’t grow old? Your whole spiel reeks of ageism and personal bias towards Johnny Depp!! The last Indiana Jones movie, starring an 83 year old Harrison Ford, grossed $384 million! Disney just needs to learn how to make movies with good quality for less!

Soon as he started talking and mannerisms, that was the first person I thought of if this would have been made during Dudley Moore’s years. Only people my age and older know who he was and guarantee would agree with me. I may have to go do an AI generated video of Dudley as Jack Sparrow.
As far as I’m concerned, there will never be another Jack Sparrow besides Johnny Depp; nir would POTC ever survive a replacement figure ( main character). It is Johnny Depp’s outrageously 5whack personality and humor that has endeared him to fans the world over. I still think Dusney would make billions if they brought him back to the Franchise. POTC has been my favorite ride since I was a kid. And that’s decades ago!
Pirates of the Caribbean will always be a treasured franchise. Johnny Depp’s signature is Jack Sparrow. He transformed an otherwise boring character into a very lovable and sustainable pirate. His charm and charisma are appalling to children around the world.its very shameful that Disney did not stand by his side in his time of need. Look at Johnny Depp’s fan base. That to me shows it all. The one movie they could literally make the main character a female, and it not be some overtly remastering/branding PC/femanizing of everything like the junk they’ve made, and johnny play the 2nd lead and they are 2nd guessing it? They could do Anne Bonny as the main character who guess what… Joins Jack(Calico) Sparrows crew as the real story goes! Ffs this is no brainer that even follows their switching to everything having to be “equal/PC/more femanizing” whatever it is junk. Idk about Margot Robbie though thinking more Mary Lynn Rajskub (Gail the Snail from its always sunny) or Emma Stone if they wanted the more star attraction, if either would do an higher end action movie.
This is why everyone is sick of disney… Given the obvious theyre like duuuh but if they wanted to make Tarzan a female they’d be like oh ya lets put 500 million down, that doesn’t seem stupid! 🙄
