A government body is going to spend how much time checking each ride? How often are they going to do that to each ride? How much do you trust that nameless employee?

There aren’t any serious suggestions that Disney or Universal cut corners or costs when it comes to safety. Their track record in policing themselves and preventing accidents is exemplary.

I don’t have a problem with state inspections for the rides. As long as all parks are treated the same.

The fact that the rider knew his condition exceeded the conditions to ride the coaster and rode it anyway is on him. The family doesn’t deserve a dime. And while parks outside of Disney and Universal have had issues and WERE inspected by state inspectors it’s clear that Disney and Universal don’t!!
