The entrance procedure has changed for guests staying at Disneyland Resort’s most iconic lodging accommodation: the Disneyland Hotel. Due to construction in the area, the main doorway from the pool to the lobby is now closed, and guests are forced to use a side entrance to access the Disney Resort building.
According to WDWNT, guests walking toward the Disneyland Hotel from the Downtown Disney shopping and dining district will notice a large blue tarp blocking the central walkway to the lobby near an outdoor seating area. Planters block other walkways, with nearby signage directing guests toward the new “Fantasy Tower Lobby.”

Guests must access the luxury hotel via a side entrance, with just one glass door propped open to welcome guests. Once inside, it’s clear that guests are in the check-in and front desk area, but the journey up to that point may be confusing.
A black curtain blocks the normal Disneyland Hotel entrance from the inside, near the small world Gifts & Sundries gift shop. The merchandise location is operating normally during the construction.
To access The Coffee House, Goofy’s Kitchen, and the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, guests must exit the main lobby area through Disney’s Fantasia Shop. Signs also direct guests from the lobby to the main pool area, which is a much longer trek than usual. Pool entrances from other areas of the Disney Resort hotel remain open and unaffected by the construction.

Disney cast members told WDWNT that these operational changes will remain in place until at least mid-October 2025. However, Disneyland Resort hasn’t publicly confirmed this.
Above the construction walls, Disney cast members have apparently installed a new “Fantasy Tower” sign. A clear plastic tarp still covers the new display. It’s unclear whether Disney cast members are making any other changes to this Disneyland Hotel area.
