I heard about this yesterday. Disney is full of big fat liers. They clearly said they were going to scrap this when Mud Brown failed. They said the same thing about Frozen 3 and they’re going ahead with that to. Hopefully Tangled remake will fail. Especially if they race swap or put anything woke in it.

Stay classy, Anne. Time for your wine box…

Thank you because I have way more class than you ever will and stop stalking me.

This is disgusting news. I agree, Disney lies. I thought they weren’t going to do this. Done with Disney and their endless supply of pointless, pathetic remakes.

    Why, Disney? Just why?

Wasn’t a fan of the original, this dumb remake will be a VERY hard pass. They’ll probably make Max a donkey or identity as a zebra. Flynn will be a soyboy, Rapunzel will be played by an African so that Flynn can tell her to toss down her afro.

Or mother gothel will be black or Mexican or otherwise Heinz 57. Someone will 1000% sure be race swapped for a black. Probably no one in that movie will be German except maybe extras in the background of their CGI setting.

Omg I want this to fail so hard like Mudslide Snow did. Didn’t care for the original and I’m sick to death of every movie out there being remade

Disney got scared when Snow White flopped bad but got all comfortable again when spongey little nostalgia sheeple ran to that souless Lilo and Stitch remake so now they’re right back into remaking everything and girlboss agenda. Way to go, Lilo and Stitch crowd. You have only yourselves to thank for this and I want nothing to do with any of ya. It’s thanks to you I see stitch plastered all the stores.

At $423,778,855 Lilo & Stitch is the second biggest earner of the year so far. Look it up. No so broke for being woke,

I agree, the Lilo and Stitch remake sucked. While it didn’t have same-sex romance it still had DEI and feminist agenda. The original movie was all about family needing each other and staying together to support each other emotionally. The remake shows how family values declined in a decade, going from “staying together” to “individual independence”. Disgusting.

Disney loves to lose money. Enough people are sick of the girlboss trend that this will hopefully fail. I’ll sure as heck won’t be running to the theater with the Disney adults. I’ll hear about who got black-washed, removed or woke-ified later.

      See comment above.

I heard they were scrapping this, what in tarnation happened unless it’s possible what another commenter said, Disney’s back to feeling in control again when everyone forgot about Zegler when Stitch hit. Sheez.

The original Tangled is only what; fifteen years old? Too soon for a remake just like Moana not that either girlboss movie needs a stinking remake. I watched Tangled when it first came out on DVD but it didn’t mean anything to me. The horse was the best part, lol.
Won’t be watching either remake when they come out, I’m not one to fuel the fire for more. There’s enough foolish drips out there to do that. Besides, I’m boycotting Disney after the jimmy Kimmel controversy. They want to keep bending the knee to the left let the left have them. There’s a ton of movies, especially classics, that are without political agenda that deserve a lot of attention. If no one has watched Flow yet, give it a try. It’s a good film for all ages, no woke or leftwing political agenda whatsoever.

So I guess when Disney said they were shelving this it was either a lie or a misunderstood rumor that got started somewhere. Never intended to watch it in the first place, it’s not like the first one was all that great anyway. Besides, I’m smart enough not to trust Disney to make a good remake without black washing someone or otherwise putting several black people in it despite there wouldn’t have been any in Germany during that time era, gender swap a role, role swap someone, eliminate a character altogether or have something woke even if it’s just a brief moment of woke. Do the smart thing and stay the heck away from the theater when this comes out. I don’t care if the trailers make you think it looks good like you people soaked up Lilo and Stitch. Have some backbone, people. Hopefully something else better will be playing by then like Sonic 4.

NO, Disney. Don’t do it. The Snow White live action movie was unwatchable, not because of Zegler necessarily, or the plot changes, or the CGI. It was a terrible movie. We shut it off halfway through. Disney, your creative team needs a complete overhaul. This should be job 1 for Bob Iger’s replacement. A box office smash hit will attract new business to your other product lines and you stop gouging the park guests to support the rest of your corporation.

Let them remake it-and suffer the consequences. If their pathetic “remake” of “Snow White” taught them nothing, they deserve them.
