Disney Ends Character Breakfast, Effectively Removing Disney Junior Characters From the Parks

One of the great thrills for any kid is going to Disney World and meeting some of the characters they’ve seen on television. Sure, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pluto are the main draw, but there are dozens of other characters from Disney shows that kids are desperate to see in person.

Among the characters that kids are desperate to meet are the stars of Disney Junior shows, including Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Fancy Nancy. Unfortunately, Disney just removed the last spot where kids had the opportunity to meet their Disney Junior favorites.

According to Disney World’s website, the Disney Junior Play ‘n’ Dine is no longer available at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, which was available for lunch and dinner, is now available all day at the Hollywood Studios restaurant.

By removing the three Disney Junior characters from Hollywood & Vine, Disney has effectively taken them out of the park altogether. There had been a meet-and-greet and Disney Jr. Play and Dance! at Animation Courtyard; however, that closed earlier this year to make way for The Magic of Disney Animation, which is coming in 2026.

At Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, guests are greeted by the First Lady of Disney in her seasonally appropriate outfits. Minnie is currently dressed for Fall, but that will change in early November when she changes over to the Holiday season.

This is one of the many changes coming to Hollywood Studios over the next few years. Monstropolis will take over the former Muppets Courtyard and bring a new door coaster with it. The Muppets will be making the move to the former Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, and the new Magic of Disney Animation is coming soon.

However, with Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Fancy Nancy no longer airing on Disney Junior and no longer appearing at Disney World, it appears that this is the end of an era for these three former Disney Junior stars. Hopefully, they’ll be making a comeback.
