Everybody is sue happy and out for easy money. It’s ridiculous. Everyone knows that any thrill rides are going to shake you around. You CHOOSE to ride. I think amusement/theme parks should be protected unless it really is their fault.

Yes, I think this woman is trying to cash in by making up a story of her injuries! First of all, if her head was banging back and forth, when she got off the ride, she should have requested some kind of medical attention and reported the way the ride was! Why wait 3 to 5 months after the fact to report it? Why, because someone died and it was her chance for a pay day?
If she didn’t receive medical attention that day by a hospital, nothing is wrong with her! When Disney or Universal workers see people in wheel chairs, they should express what the ride is about and let them know it is at their own risk. We all see the posted signs warning about health conditions, so follow them. It is sad the man lost his life.

Honestly, the way these ride designers keep ratcheting up the intensity of these rides, it doesn’t surprise me at all that people are suffering adverse effects.

That said, if I was being treated for a spine injury I wouldn’t get on a roller coaster. No common sense.

If he had spinal issues he should not be on roller coasters. Every roller coaster I’ve been on states basically that in the queue line.
Then the one sueing months later is absolutely just trying to grab money and her lawyers knowing big companies like Disney will just settle out of court to avoid bad publicity.

I rode the flight of fear at kings Island when it first opened. They had head rests on each side of your head. Yes it banged you around and I got a migraine from it. I did not sue. Next year they had taken those headrests off and the ride turned out to be my favorite ride in the park.

Too many people want to take the easy way to get rich and sue companies for their own stupidity

They can try and sue all they want, but it’s going to get thrown out. Universal did everything they are supposed to with there rides. There are signs all over the rides warning that if you have neck or back injuries or heart conditions, you shouldn’t ride. Dr probably told him the same thing. But, he did it anyway. I feel bad that he lost his life but he had no business getting on the ride, plan and simple.
