Iger and Walden are a disgrace to Disney. I am telling everyone I can that if they have a Disney+ subscription to cancel it until Jimmy Kimmel is put back on the air. Not to ever visit any Disney themepark. And to stop watching any content available on ABC, Disney, and any Nexstar and Sinclair stations. These people are turning our country into a banana republic.

Jimmy Kimmel doesn’t deserve his job back after his hateful words. Obviously you love hate, thusly you are a leftist.

      1. Phil

The First Amendment was intended to protect Jimmy Kimmel’s and all “leftist”’s right to speak as well as yours. If you want to live in a democracy, you have to be willing to listen to the other side, even though you may not agree. I never heard of Charlie Kirk before he was murdered. From what I have read, I wouldn’t have agreed with anything he espoused except his willingness to debate on the issues. But, he didn’t deserve to be killed for his thoughts any more than a “leftist” should be silenced for his. The solution for “rightists” wasn’t to take Kimmel off the air; it was to change the channel.

        1. Walt

Actually you are wrong this is not a freedom of speech issue. If I stand on top of my desk at work and start spewing disgusting things about my boss – guess what will happen? Jimmy Kimmel was losing money and Disney used this opportunity to pull the plug on a under performing and grossly over priced show. Evidently Disney (IGER) did not have the balls to pull the plug earlier (how typical) and found a convenient excuse. Iger is the largest puke there is. PLUS the buyers of his show said we are not running it anymore. But then the left steps in and makes it a free speech issue. It is not. This is an employee employer relationship and if Disney does not like what Jimmy Kimmel does or says they have the right to fire him.
He had his freedom – huzzah – as a result of comments he lost his job. its just that simple. When I worked for Disney, Walt’s Wife Lillian died. We had a script provided to us to use regarding her death. If we refused to use the script for this or other more controversial issues – then we were instructed to refer the guest to our manager. If there was an infraction we were “counseled”. I am glad Kimmel is back (to some degree) His comments about Charlie Kirk were pure lies – but how is that any different than any other lies the left spew? His presence provides t witness to the world of the hateful, inaccurate, caustic comments he spews every night. MORE SPEECH – NOT LESS.

      2. Max Maxwell

odd part is your echo, he didn’t say anything bad about kirk go watch his statements again.

        1. Walt

He lied he said it was a MAGA person. That lie has been spewed on the left and many liberals leftists believe this to be true. It was a person sympathetic to the transgender movement.

P.S. Transgenderism used to be classifi3ed as a mental disorder. It still is.

  2. Anne

Getting rid of Kimmel was the only good thing Disney has done in decades.

  3. Carter

Good riddance to bad rubbish and kudos to Disney for throwing it out. No news media is supposed to be biased, especially to the dark side. All the leftists can cry, cry, cry about free speech all they want. It’s really the hate speech that they want to hear.

  4. The Lion King

It’s nice seeing Disney finally lose a great deal of business but it’s unfortunate they lose it from doing something right for a change. Kimmel will not be missed by the people who are actually against hate speech.

  5. A Random Person

I don’t watch Jimmy Kimmel but heard he was left-wing. I don’t watch a lot of news because most of it biased to the left. Disposing of Kimmel was a start, but how about all the other trashy shows like The View, Drew Barrymore and such? I want to see them taken off to! Especially those nasty women of the View!

  6. Anonymous

Disney actually deserves a hand for this act. But seeing them lose so much business from the left is nice to, because despite getting rid of one leftist media man, Disney is still woke, left-wing DEI crud. Which makes it shocking they would actually fire Kimmel in the first place.

    1. Sean

I appreciate everything Michael Eisner did for Disney when he was CEO (I used to work for the Disneyland Resort while under Eisner’s watch, before the company went all WOKE) but I have to disagree with him on this one: I’ve NEVER found Kimmel to be funny, talented, or even entertaining! 👎 Tbh, I thought his sidekick Guillermo was funnier than him (and Guillermo didn’t even have to TRY to be funny, he just was!) Hell, even that other Mexican guy who did those hilarious movie reviews (Yaya?) was FAR more funny & entertaining than Kimmel EVER was! 🤣

  7. MAGA

Lol, disney losing business from both sides! Losing it from the right because disney is too woke and left and now losing it from the left because the leftists are taking it as a personal attack on their “freedom to hate speech” when they fired kimmel! Disney can’t win, can they? 😂

    1. Anita Freeman

It’s not hate speech, it’s freedom of speech. The felon in charge spews hate every time he opens his mouth but I don’t see you firing him, unfortunately.

      1. Rosebud

That’s President Donald Trump to you, who lives rent free in your head. And yes, lover of hate, what jimmy Kimmel spread was hate speech. That is NOT the duty of any news media. You’re using the privilege “Freedom of Speech” as an excuse for hateful, hurtful words.

      2. MAGA

lol, 🤣 I agree with rosebud, trump lives rent free in your head…which is easy considering there’s nothing else in there! 😂 Go practice your little freedom of hate speech somewhere else little leftist!

  8. Anita Freeman

Bowing to a bully is wrong especially when it goes against the First Amendment. We are supposed to have freedom of speech in this country but the republicans are trying to ban it. I love Jimmy Kimmel but if you don’t like him, don’t watch him. This is what are country used to be.

    1. Rosebud

No, idi*t, Republicans are trying to obliterate hate from the left. You’re using “Freedom of Speech” as an excuse to want to spread hate. Freedom is a privilege and honor you do not abuse. Hate is a personal choice. You can also choose to keep your hateful thoughts to yourself without spreading it all over media and hurting someone’s feelings. Especially the feelings of a grieving widow.

    2. Cindy L

      Yes!

  9. Make Liberals Cry Again

*A leftist activist tells lies and says ugly hateful things* Leftists: That’s freedom of speech!!

*President Trump says one word or a conservative activist speaks the truth or spreads the Gospel* Leftists: That’s hate speech! Wah, wah, Wah! Shut them up! Boo hoo hoo!!

  10. Norm

Last week Jimmy showed sympathy for family of Charlie Kirk. No one had a problem with that. Now he shows disgust with our existing government and loses his job. Where did free speech go. He is a comic and makes fun of our existing government and loses his job. Where did freedom go. He did no physical harm to anyone. Just not right.

  11. T

omg let’s tone down the temperature at least with each other here. Violence of any kind is not ok, and we can all agree on that, no matter which side of the political spectrum. Rosebud, if I interpreted correctly and you are a grieving widow, my condolences to you as well.

I don’t watch Jimmy Kimmel, and I don’t have to. But I did check out the clip in question to understand what was going on. Kimmel did not say anything negative about Charlie Kirk. He was instead critical of Trump’s response and grieving process. I also watched the clip from the day after Kirk’s unfortunate death. Kimmel said, quote, “I have seen a lot of extraordinarily vile responses to this from both sides of the political spectrum. Some people are cheering this [death], which is something I will never understand.”

Kimmel’s comment is based on his personal opinion about his personal observations. It is very clear that Kimmel believes that sympathy and condemning of violence is the ONLY acceptable response from anyone, whether they are left or right. Other than that, in general this is a comedy show, not journalism.

If you don’t like jokes or critical views on trump, or whomever is in office for that matter, I understand that. No one is obligated to watch it – there are so many other things on Netflix/etc =)

    1. D

      Nicely done

  12. jackson

I you make an honest comment on this site it does not get posted. you have to fall in line. what a joke.

  13. RandyC

When Michael Eisner has something to say about Disney, I listen. I may not always agree with him, but I respect him and acknowledge that he was the architect behind Disney’s Renaissance in the 80s and 90s. For the first time ever, I agree with Bob Iger and do not agree with Michael Eisner. Iger did the right thing by taking Kimmel off the air. Kimmel’s plan to clarify things on Wednesday would have only made things worse. ABC should let Kinnel go for good. He’s not funny and not entertaining. He is too political, and 100% DNC talking head. Entertainment should be to get away from all that. Disney needs to understand that in its core products and creative releases, too.

  14. Bear

Eisner enjoyed being at the helm during Disney s heydays. He did what Walt would have wanted entertain people at an affordable price. Iger fell victim to politics and swayed from the Disney core business of entertainment. In these divided times hate speech is NOT comedy. Farewell second rate Kimmel. Run for office if you want to get into politics and not entertain. Sorry Mickey once again needs to shed a tear.

  15. Randy

What comes next after the attack on Freedom of Speech? Freedom of Religion? Wake up. This is not what you voted for. Stand up to the bullies or else we will lose the country we Love!

  16. Andrea

The FCC was stepping in, and I am glad that Disney pulled the plug on that stupid millionaire Kimmel! Now they should do the same to the racist bunch of losers on the view! A person’s murder shouldn’t be joked about on the platform of TV shows or the left. People should use their brains, if they have any, and stop talking bad about a Christian young man, we are all Charlie Kirk’s! We believe in God and family. I hope Disney goes back to family ideals.please post my thoughts, as you are allowing so many others to repost and debate each other!

  17. Deborah

So people are up in arms about Kimmel being suspended for his words but the left are celebrating the assassination in front of his wife and two small children of Charlie Kirk for his words. The hypocrisy is off the charts!!! Their screaming freedom of speech…where was Charlie Kirk’s freedom of speech???? Anyone celebrating his death no matter what side of the isle you are on is evil. Shame on all ya’ll.

  18. Mike Moore

as a share holder, Leave it alone and find another host (cheaper one). Kimmel’s time is up.

    1. Max Maxwell

  19. Ryan Willis

I’m a retire Vet, I fought for this country because I believe in it, this country was founded on with Christianity and the left is disrespecting it. All I here is chirping from these lefty’s, why don’t they put their money where their mouth is and serve our country, maybe they’ll learn something. I’m so tired of all the whining. Lets put politics aside and Come
together like we all did in 2001.

    1. Max Maxwell

No I am not red or blue i refuse to be labeled, pointed at, or told I am purple. I am a Patriot and I vote who I want to win. Carpetbaggers, thats all these red hats are. how’s those tariffs working for ya?? Or our American farmers??? Better yet, go play golf.

  21. David Sperduto

Sorry, but let’s get a fact out:
Kimmel’s “offending” comment was only criticizing rightists that were doing somersaults trying to blame Kirk’s shooting on the leftists.

Yes, I’m sure rightists found that offending. But it did not criticize Charlie or celebrate his death. Did it? In fact, Kimmel decried violence a couple nights after the shooting, saying, “Some people are cheering this [death], which is something I will never understand.”

People should watch the clip and ask themselves, “Have the rightists been nicer than this when they talk about leftists?”

I am sorry if I am too harsh about Disney and Iger and Eisner. But I don’t know how else to convey how bad I think their decision was. For the country.

  22. David Sperduto

Ok, I apologize for characterizing Disney the way I did. Obviously, they made a mistake and have realized that. They have a lot of good content in theatres, parks and on streaming. I look forward to enjoying it again and wish them the best in continuing the wonderful history of Disney.

  23. D

Kudos for Isner. We need him back as CEO!!! Once Iger bowed down to Trump, Trump knew he had him & it has been obvious. Iger is bowing down time and time again. Chapek was removed (rightfully so) & Disney said they were not going to take policital sides. So what’s up now? I am thinking of selling off my Disney stock.
