I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. James Gunn is not even HALF as good as he thinks he is. He has already started killing off the ” DCU ” with the abysmal Superman. More disasters to follow before they realise he is just a dick.
Your comments about Superman ring true. Too bloated, too little focus on Superman. MOT sounds like it will be more of the same. Not interested. As to Peacemaker and CC I can’t comment. Absolutely no interest in those projects and have not seen them.
Well 1st and foremost I have been screaming ever since I heard that Gunn was the leader of the new D.C. that his hiring was a HUGE MISTAKE! That being said Superman was the best movie Gunn has ever made in has life! A 10 out of 10! Now was it over loaded with characters that had absolutely nothing to do with Superman? Yes! But Gunn’s ability to not take the subject matter to seriously in this case worked brilliantly. I enjoyed the movie. However what comes next is not so appealing and may indeed signal the end of the new D.C. before it can crawl out the gate! Clayface, Swamp Thing, amd yes even SUPERGIRL are not what D.C. fans want to see! Supergirl is not as popular as her cousin and has NEVER BEEN A BOX OFFICE SUCCESS! NEVER! Yeah she had a popular t.v. show for several seasons on the CW but there were other chareacters that helped that show stay on air Martian Manhunter being the main one along with others. But i Digress! People want Wonder Woman! BATMAN FOR GOODNESS SAKE! YET GUNN IS NOT PUTTING THE FOCUS ON THESE STANDOUT heroes no.. instead we get 2nd rate hereoes and villians! How does a Batman villian like Clayface get a movie before Batman himself? Batman is 100 times more popular than Superman , yet Bold and the Brave does not seem to be a prority! Wonder Woman is the mist popular female superheroine ever created! Yet 2nd rate Supergirl gets a movie before her? Not to be funny but Gal Gadots Wonder Woman original film way out grossed Gunn’ s Superman by about 250 million! Something The New D.C. needs to think about! Making a movie like Clayface just because the script is done and Gunn thinks it’s good is not a box office hit in the making Horror or not!D.C. is throwing good money into bad ideas ! Maybe Jason Mamoa’s popularity and character Lobo can save Supergirl! But if the film is just about Kara going through the universe drunk!?! That is not appealing at all. Anyone remember Helen Slater’s Supergirl flop? Faye Dunaway could’t save that mess! I doubt Mamoa can save this one! Put the Trinity up front! There is no way Suoerman should get a 2nd movie before Batman and Wonder Woman hit the screen! NO WAY! MAN OF TOMORROW CAN WAIT!
I made alot of typos! Lol but in a nutshell none of Gunn’s planned movies should come before Batman and Wonder Woman! Heck he has even put the Authority on the back burner! WHY?!? MY Bold and the Brave would come out before Reeves Batman part 2! I would see to that! But hey what do i know? I’s just a comic kook kook right?🤔🤨😒
