It’s hard to believe, but we are under three months until Christmas! It’s never too early to start celebrating the spirit of the season, and as many Disney fans know, the theme parks typically kick off their holiday celebrations a week or two into November. Disney loves the holiday season and wants to celebrate it for as long as possible.
In addition to visiting the theme parks to celebrate the holidays and attend events like the International Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT and the Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure, Disney fans love to grab a mug of hot cocoa, cozy up on the couch, and watch some of their favorite Disney Christmas movies.

Over the years, Disney has produced numerous Christmas movies that have become an integral part of many family traditions, including Home Alone (1990), The Santa Clause (1994), Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas (1999), Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), and so many others.
However, there is one Disney Christmas film that is head and shoulders above the rest. We are, of course, talking about The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992).
The film retells the famous story of A Christmas Carol, with iconic Muppets playing the title roles, except for Ebenezer Scrooge. Gonzo plays Charles Dickens, Kermit the Frog portrays Bob Cratchit, and Miss Piggy is Emily Cratchit. Fozzie Bear appears as Fozziwig, Statler and Waldorf are the Marley brothers, and Robin the Frog is Tiny Tim.
