Disney needs to utilize some artificial stupidity to warn those making reservations upfront about events and anticipated disruptions to schedules. Whether it is Gay Days or the Candlelight Processional or running marathons, anything that will change the basic operations at the resort should be clearly stated to guests. Expecting us to know about an after hours event or marathon without stating it is ridiculous. It also leads to frustrated guests when they eventually discover the event will shorten their day or otherwise affect and ruin their plans.
