Upon further reflection I think any updates will be amazing! I can’t wait to see what the imagineers do next!

You’re foolish deluded fool. When new leadership comes and kicks out Iger, you may never see this happen at all. Get real.

I’m sorry everyone, I ate the bad glue last night and it’s causing me to have outbursts and bladder control issues. Can’t wait to see what exciting changes will happen next, have a magical day!

Disney Dumba** execs need to go back to school, cars in the Old West? not in any History books I have read. Frontierland is gone, And so am I about any future trips to that section of the park.

    1. Paula

So you’re still going to go and spend your money, but just avoid that part of the park? I mean everyone will have to avoid that part for a few years. I bet you will end up visiting the new area though.

      1. Grapes

Nobody cares on either side what woke may mean. It’s just not a concern for most people.

  3. That’s what happens when you hire woke people . Walt was correct Disneyland will never be finished. But no where did he say hack it to where it cant be recognized anymore. I do not understand why Cars is so important over the old west. I’m understanding I was privileged to have spoken to Walt back in 1966 in Disneyland and was asked what I thought of his park.
To be honest I’m ready to pull a constitution on the Disney Corporate. I see they will be putting splash mountain back.

Frontierland is not being changed. The Rivers of America is never being removed and Disney has no right to remove it. It’s open right now. Pixar is going away soon because of Disney being broken up as a monopoly. You will never see a Cars attraction in Magic Kingdom. Toy Story Land is going away and so is Space Ranger Spin.

      1. Paula

What have you been smoking? Rivers of America is definitely gone.

        1. Steve

No it’s not. I have a Time Machine just like Doc Brown and was at the 75th in 2046. The Rivers of America is still running and Disney has no right to remove it. I have a photo on the Liberty Belle dated October 1, 2046. Disney has been broken up as a monopoly by Washington and Marvel and Pixar are completely gone in the parks to avoid massive licensing fees. Galaxy’s Edge is also gone. Disney has been taken over by management who has made it great again by erasing the whole Iger era taking Disney back to the 20th century and ask “What would Walt do?” to make decisions again.

  4. We the People of the Disney Parks , in order to form better Disney Parks are requesting that the CEO be removed from his over paid job of doing nothing but screw it up. Be given a broom and dust pan placed in the parks to clean with out and protection from pissed off guest. Until Rivers of America is put back.
Then he can be towed on a log raft behind the paddle wheeler dressed as huck fin .

    1. Hal

Removed and executed for high treason, after a fair trial of course.

Currently there are NO CHILDREN that know of WALT DISNEY as a live person. IN 30 years when the population plumnet has really taken hold, no one will remember “the old DisneyWorld”. Progress must happen!

      1. Steve

Wrong. In 30 years the “Old” Disney World will be the present Disney World and there will be no more new things. Regression will happen and WDW will be stuck in the 20th century under management that asks “What would Walt do?” again. Kids will have the same tastes as their parents and grandparents and be clones. I know because I was there. Progress is coming to an end.

I’m disgusted with all of what Disney is doing. Taking away the classic Disney and memories of what Disney truly is and was 😢😢😢😢

      Corporate greed is disgusting

Honestly with all this drama-queening. Most likely it’s just for the facades. The Texas theming will no longer work with the geographical progression that was built into this area of the park: Start in Liberty Square (Philadelphia leading to St Louis), cross the “Mississippi” then head west to Frontierland (Texas, then the Southwest). They’re going to honor the progression but “fix it” to include the newer rides. Now instead of crossing the Mississippi into Texas, we will instead go down it to New Orleans, so it ties in with Tiana’s. This should surprise no one as the rumors that Pecos Bill’s is turning into Tiana’s Palace have been around for awhile. Then we’ll enter the New Frontier, with the American Southwest on one side and Piston Peak (Yellowstone and Yosemite) on the other. The concept art shows a lot of this progression already. The New Rivers of America – the Mississippi River – separates St Louis/New Orleans from the “New Frontier”. And you will walk “down” the Mississippi to get to New Orleans, which makes way more sense than crossing the Mississippi from St Louis and somehow landing in Texas on the other side (this weird transition only happened thanks to the existence of the Texas John Slaughter and Davy Crockett television shows). Walk past Tiana’s and it looks like we will be walking along the Colorado River, which makes perfect sense as it leads from the hot springs of Yellowstone to the Colorado Plateau, which is where Big Thunder is located. The Mississippi AND the Colorado. Why it’s like the Rivers of America!
It’s all pretty genius, actually, and the Imagineers have clearly put a lot of work into this to make it work both geographically and thematically. And no doubt, chronologically. If the idea is to turn Pecos Bill’s into Tiana’s Palace, then they’re probably going to have to introduce how the 1870s turn into the 1920s and then into the 1950s, the general timeframe of Piston Peak. Will St Louis expand to the Country Bears? Will New Orleans expand to the Diamond Horseshoe? Or will we get a different town on the Mississippi bridging the two? Like maybe Memphis? Or Baton Rouge, which looked a lot more like what’s currently going in Frontierland than Memphis did in the 1870s. Maybe instead of New Orleans Square, MK will get their own Bayou Country and Frontierland will then stretch from the Frontierland Train Station, past Big Thunder and Piston Peak, and end at Liberty Square in front of the Haunted Mansion. Disney has all kinds of projects on the horizon that probably won’t live up to expectations. This one seems very low on that totem pole, so maybe save your outrage, people.

What? What level of mental comprehension do you have. Where in the fucking bayou is there a mountain with a tunnel bored through it?

    2. Grapes

      Pretty well thought out.

  7. Jeff

Can’t believe Disney, to Glorify Evil and do away with a little Americana, Mark Twain & Mark & Huckfin.
So much of Dreaming of happiness

  8. S

Wow, Disney really doesn’t want people to come to the parks anymore. They are burying themselves deep

  9. Hal

The reason why Bob iger didn’t announce the full plans for frontier land right from the start, but rather piecemealed it, it’s because he’s a coward, a filthy stinking coward. He knew that what he was doing would be hated by those who have known the Disney company for many decades, but he thought that if he could piecemeal it bit by bit, people would initially be thankful for at least leaving some bit of frontierland, rather than lynching him, and then by the time he had dismantled the entire thing people have become resigned to the inevitable death of the Magic Kingdom. Somehow though, either iger doesn’t care about what posterity will think of him, or he actually somehow thinks that history will honor his name. Neither is the truth. There is a high likelyhood that Iger will go down in history as the Judas of Walt Disney.

  10. Ghost of Walt

I just have Disney news fatigue. It is all about obliterating classic Walt Disney attractions that are loved and have been loved by all for decades and replacing them with half formed ideas with terrible execution.

The death of Splash Mountain wouldn’t have been as badly received if the Princess and the Frog story would have been followed and integrated properly. No Dr. Facilier because of voodoo? Seriously? So many missed opportunities for a great attraction.

All of the executives and leadership at the Disney company are really lost souls. They need to think more of “What would Walt do” instead of what will squeeze another buck out of the park goers. Like many others, I am done with Disney parks. That doesn’t mean I won’t go on occasion, but the magic is dead for ME. Magic Kingdom is definitely a lower priority park for me now, and it used to be a must do, and multiple times per trip. It’s really sad what the parks have become under the current leadership.

    1. Paula

You’re done with the Disney parks… But you’ll still go occasionally? That is not being done. 🙄

  11. Timothy L. Dusen

As long as the Imagineers do not wreck Walt’s Design and Ideas of Frontierland! There has been too many open-ended rumors on the internet that Disney will be taking away all of the area changing to another area?
If they are just going to Refurbish the buildings in the areas to look more like the New Areas coming to Frontierland that would be great!
Just wish the price of admission was not so dang high that the one’s on Disability and Fixed Budgets could enjoy the park once again!

  12. Paula

You all are some of the whiniest people.
Disney is always changing and/or adding things. Get over yourselves. Some people are looking forward to the changes. I know I am. I wish you all would be done with going to Disney. But done, done. Not saying you’re done but you’ll occasionally go, or saying you’re done but will still go anyway.

    1. Steve

No change is happening. Change is bad. Frontierland is never changing and the Rivers of America are open right now. When I take over Disney it will eventually stop changing and adding anything new unless it’s bringing back old things and going backwards. Disney under me will become locked in time and have no future at all. I will be appeasing purists.

  13. N

And yet Disney is still going to charge guests full price admissions regardless of how many walls and attractions are out of commission. It’s even worse at Animal Kingdom where the entirety of Dinoland USA is closed, a whole section is closed for Encanto construction and now Kali River Rapids is closing for refurbishment. That leave lime what 3 or 4 actual RIDES for full price admission. Talk about bleeding a stone dry. Horrible. Disney should at least cut admission cost while so much of thr park is closed. I didn’t even mention Spaceship Earth or how about the mess in the Grand Floridian lobby. No giant gingerbread house this year and very possibly no tree or a very VERY small one in comparison. That resort attracts people for those very things during the holidays. What, $1000/night and no actual ambience. But hey, Disney will have another unwanted bar in the lobby. Yay
