Let’s get something straight: No sequel, no remake, no prequel and definitely no immature baby junk like Lion Guard will ever change the originality of the 1994 Lion King movie. The timeline of these so called comics do not fit into the original movie. They’re nothing but a cash grab for sheeple to spend money on.

And furthermore, I do not, repeat, DO NOT CARE what sponge-brained Disney adults say, the Mufasa movie is NOT canon to the original movie!! It’s not even connected to the live action AU either.
There were books written right after the 1994 movie that told Mufasa and Taka’s story. That was the original story. Not the sloppily written Mufasa movie.

The Lion King was one of the best and memorable movies to ever come out of Disney. I’ve seen it probably over a hundred times. As I got older I stopped watching the sequel Simba’s Pride because it’s nothing but a lie; not cannon whatsoever to the first.
Never watched Lion Guard because that’s only for toddlers and Disney adults with the minds of toddlers. It is DEFINITELY not cannon!
I did watch the live action remake which could’ve been way better. The CGI and animal action was great but the dialogue was flat– unemotional that is. And could’ve found better voice actors.
Mufasa was good for the same reasons– animal action. They of course rubbed the fact they altered the facial expressions of the animals in your face. But this movie is not cannon to the original movie, and, because the movie was obviously thrown together, isn’t seemingly cannon to the 2019 remake. For example in Mufasa they call the pride lands Meliele whereas that’s not mentioned in the remake. The inside of pride rock is completely different in Mufasa; more spacious and with the waterfall and deep pool. And you’d think if Kiros played a part in Mufasa and Taka’s past then he would’ve at least been brought up once in the remake.
Those details may mean nothing to a Disney adult but it’s things like that, that make sequels or prequels worse.

Simba’s first lesson on being king started the day before Mufasa’s death. Therefore these so called comics do not make sense. Like a previous commenter said, it’s just a cash grab for young sheeple.
If these had been a continuation about Kion or Kiara and Kovu’s cubs they would more worth getting.

    1. Listen up, sheeple, the woke cash grab has got to end. All this Africa this Africa that would nonsense must stop, do you hear me, iti must stop. Srt it in America, the only country that matters. Make him a bald eagle and don’t give him some wimpy foreign name, give him a strong American name like Sam. Then we’ll see some.money made, and I don’t mean cash grab. It will be a dignified profit. Dignity, always dignity.
