No way would I wait that long to meet a character. After spending the money for the event, I would find shorter lines for other characters and enjoy the other event options.

I wouldn’t wait that long to meet any character. Also, it was the opening night so there are bound to be some issues. If you don’t want to deal with possible issues, wait until a different night. I have no interest in meeting those 2, so if everyone stays in line for them all night, I’ll be glad that other things may not be as crowded. I don’t know how many people Disney allows at these parties, but considering I’m paying more for one evening than I’m paying for a full day at the park, they need to figure something out about crowds, or have fewer tickets available.

It is easy to figure out time for a meet and greet. Hoe long does it last? 15 seconds equals 4 opportunities per minute. 10 seconds equals 6. 30 seconds equals 2. Now look at the line and figure out how long it will take you to get your few seconds of time with a character. The same applies to getting a picture taken or getting on a ride. Now you get to prioritize how to spend your valuable time. A meet and greet, a ride, collecting candy, watching a parade, etc. It seems that a lot of people chose the meet and greet as their priority at this event. Apparently, it was listed at 90 minutes. Go back to the numbers. If they were trying to do 4 per minute and each guest took an extra 5 seconds then it would drop to 3 per minute. You can see how quickly the actual wait time would balloon.
