Unlike Disneyland Resort, where characters can be encountered throughout the park and not just at designated locations, the meet and greets are a lot stricter at Walt Disney World. However, a surprise moment took place this week at Magic Kingdom Park.

The Walt Disney World Resort is known for its parades, shows, and nighttime spectaculars just as much as it is for its broad array of attractions–guests loved the Happily Ever After fireworks so much that Disney reinstated the nighttime Cinderella Castle show following the end of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration.
While the fireworks shows at the end of the park day are big draws for guests, so are the many parades and character interactions throughout the park. In late July, Disney debuted its first nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, in years.

The show, which takes place on Main Street, U.S.A. and at other locations around the park, plays nightly at 9 and 11 p.m. Disney Starlight won’t play during hard-ticketed events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Another option for guests visiting Disney World’s flagship theme park is the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.
“Join us along the parade route—from Frontierland through Liberty Square down Main Street, U.S.A.—as an exciting lineup of Characters embark on a journey through park,” the official Disney World website states. “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade features the most Characters of any cavalcade to date, including Bruno from Encanto and Miguel from Coco—plus so many more!”

Other characters that guests can see in the performance include Pocahontas, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, Marie, The Jungle Book‘s Baloo and King Louie, and Nick and Judy from the Zootopia franchise.
However, a surprise event happened during a performance of Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade this week as Disney characters were spotted in the crowd watching the performance. According to Kenny the Pirate, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen–from Disney’s 2009 animated movie The Princess and the Frog–were seen enjoying the parade and interacting with the character just like the guests in Magic Kingdom.

The interaction was captured on social media, with mouseketeer_for_life posting a video to Instagram:
We thought we stopped to watch the Adventure Friends cavalcade, but found ourselves just watching Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen

In the video, the pair can be seen dancing along with the cavalcade and interacting with other characters featured in the performance, such as Coco‘s Miguel.
The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade is currently performing twice daily at Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can usually view the entertainment at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
