A few changes are about to take place inside the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney World is home to a lot of fun and magical experiences, and Magic Kingdom acts as the center of it all. From classic dark rides like Peter Pan’s Flight and Pirates of the Caribbean to thrilling adventure on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, there’s something for everyone at Disney’s original Florida theme park.
However, Magic Kingdom also offers a lot in the way of live entertainment. Guests can stop by for a parade on Main Street, U.S.A., or enjoy interacting with a number of famous faces during meet-and-greets.
The talk of the town at Magic Kingdom is Disney Starlight, a new parade that kicked off earlier this summer. “Behold a dazzling nighttime parade,” Disney says on its website, “that celebrates magical moments from Disney stories—each touched by starlight.”
Disney Starlight has been a big hit, but there are a few things guests need to know if they plan on visiting later this year.

Disney Starlight plays at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. nightly. However, this changes on August 31, when Disney Starlight parade will take place 30 minutes earlier during both showtimes.
The reason for the change is quite simple. The sun sets earlier as the year goes on, meaning it gets darker faster at Magic Kingdom.
Disney Starlight will keep its new 8:30 p.m./10:30 p.m. schedule for the foreseeable future. Showtimes are subject to change again as the year continues.
Aside from Disney Starlight, Magic Kingdom also has a few other newer experiences for guests to enjoy. The park’s newest thrill ride is TRON Lightcycle / Run, an intense adventure through “The Grid.” This exhilarating ride takes guests inside and out and features one of the resort’s fastest launches.
Guests can also stop by Frontierland for a ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This log flume attraction replaced Splash Mountain in 2024, marking a new chapter for Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World as a whole.
