Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) has grossed well over $700 million worldwide. But while the latest Jurassic sequel continues to take dino-sized bites out of the box office, it’s already reportedly heading to streaming.

Directed by Garth Edwards (2014’s Godzilla, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), with a screenplay by David Koepp, who co-wrote the first two films in the series, Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, a cover ops who is hired by pharmaceutical executive Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) to travel to an abandoned InGen facility on the island Ile Saint-Hubert to retrieve life-changing genetic material from three colossal dinosaurs. But once there, Zora’s team comes face to face with terrifying mutant creatures.

Jurassic World Rebirth Is Expected To Stream This Week

While the film has received mixed to negative reviews from audiences and critics, it’s one of the biggest box office hits of 2025 and will undoubtedly get a sequel greenlit by Universal Pictures in due course.

Now, the film is expected on digital streaming via video-on-demand this week.

According to When to Stream, Rebirth is expected to arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, August 5. The streaming tracker is typically accurate with its PVOD reports, but it notes that Universal Pictures has not officially announced or confirmed the film’s digital release date.

However, this report coincides with a new leaked teaser that’s circulating online, which says the “own-or-rent-today” release will include “deleted scenes,” an “alternate opening,” and a “gag reel.”

Again, the video itself has yet to be distributed by the official Jurassic World channels, and is only currently being shared by YouTubers like ProC and Swrve, best known for dishing out Jurassic news.

We don’t know what the alternate opening entails, but it may improve the film slightly for fans who weren’t impressed in theaters — we’ll just have to wait and see.

As for the deleted scenes, according to the teaser, at least one of the deleted scenes includes Velociraptors. The fan-favorite dinos were mostly left out of the new film in favor of the hybrid dinosaurs known as Mutadons, which became one of many points of criticism.
