My earliest memory of Dick Van Dyke was in chitty chitty bang bang & mary poppins. I loved both of these films as a child. My adult memory was in diagnosis murder as I love a murder mystery. I love Dick, Betty White & Angela Lansbury. He is the only one left. I hope he makes it to 100 as sadly as both of the ladies didn’t.
I loved the DVD Show and still watch it in reruns. It’s difficult to find any unwoke in Hollywood it’s as if they are vaccinated against reason. One would think that given the mess that is California under the Liberals that they would rethink their position. I was a little shocked when Andy Griffith and Ron Howard made folksy ads for Obama. Regardless, I don’t think any really wants to see DVD suffer or die prematurely. I have no interest in his failed politics but I enjoyed his acting.
He may be a very talented actor and has made people laugh for decades but it doesn’t excuse the fact he openly tried to swing people’s votes to Harris. A celebrity has no right to do so and they need to keep their leftist mouths shut about politics if they want to keep everyone happy.
In the US we have this First Amendment where we have the right to speak no matter what party. This applies as much to celebrities as it does to people who are not. Every citizen has a voice and a vote – and Dick Van Dyke is certainly an all American citizen and a fixture in Americana and thankfully, nobody can ever change that.
It’s sad seeing all the “good old days” actors and actresses passing away but one less Harris supporter in the world is ok by me. He lost my respect and admiration when he tried swinging votes. No leftist celebrity made me vote for that witch.
I’ll just leave it here that he’s just gained another vote against Fascism and for caring for one’s neighbor. He’ll be remembered for much longer than 100 years.

As a Republican, I can honestly say that Dick Van Dyke is a legend and an American Treasure. He has entertained millions of people for many years and I have been among those who loved every minute of it. I may not agree with his politics but it certainly has no bearing over my view of him as a comedian, actor and just an overall good guy. I wish him nothing but health and longevity. He will certainly have longevity as he will be remembered for a long, long time. God Bless
