Walt Disney World Resort is pressing full steam ahead with construction in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Recent reports reveal that the Toy Story (1995) themed land is seeping into the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Construction walls appeared near the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge entrance in Toy Story Land in July. Bright colored panels surround a walkway area near the land’s bathrooms. Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t confirmed what crews are working on, but permits suggest that the Disney park is planning a new snack stand in the area.

Toy Story Land opened in 2018 with just one food option: Woody’s Lunch Box. The Quick Service dining location had minimal, non-shaded seating, making it an uncomfortable choice in the Central Florida heat. Last fall, Walt Disney World Resort added more shading to the area, making it a more alluring place to eat. That followed the 2023 opening of Roundup Rodeo BBQ, an indoor Table Service dining location.
Amid the recent changes in Toy Story Land, Walt Disney World Resort has extended the Pixar-themed area into a bit of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The bright, rainbow construction walls now reach the border of Toy Story Land and connect with plain wooden construction walls in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

According to Laughing Place, crews have also removed the Toy Story Land marquee at the entrance coming from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s unclear whether parts of Toy Story Land will permanently extend into the Star Wars land when the project is complete.
Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t confirmed whether the construction walls in the walkway to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are related to the Toy Story Land project. However, no other permits have been filed for the area, suggesting that the new barricades are part of the rumored snack stand construction.
