  1. I have observed some of these ‘extras’ but it seems for families only. My grandson and I have been to Disney 12 yrs in a row. We were pretty much ignored. I had to ask photographers to take our picture. Maybe if they are made aware, everyone will be included.

can be summed up as “But I want…”

Looks like you have to have two fathers to become a First Family. Walt is literally spinning in his grave.

The other guy is “Paul” the CM. He’s wearing a nametag.

This is one of the most ridiculous comments on ITM. And there are a lot of them.
      1. There are not two dads in the picture, one is the castmember.
      2. What makes you think that the family has 2 fathers.
      3. What difference would it make if the family has 2 dads unless you think that makes the family less deserving.
      4. What makes you think that Walt would be spinning in his grave, he hired many an LGBT employee at the studios and the park.

    3. Look a bit closer at the pic you seemed to not see clearly.
      How do you feel now?

Not really a secret to get anything…. One family once in a while…. C’mon man…

  4. Me and my son have had several magical moments. Once we were entering the magic kingdom after dinner and the cast member approached us and gave us a free fireworks cruise. So not just for families.

We were on a Disney Cruise and were the “First Family” on Disney’s private island. It was a magical experience as we got to meet the Captain, wear his hat, and spend time on the island by ourselves complete with pictures from the ships photographer.

In 2006, the four of us all dressed in matching tie dye t-shirts were standing near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad deciding whether or not to get in the long line, a CM appeared out of no where and gave us all a free front of the line pass and walked us to the front herself. We got to ride without any wait and made us feel very special, she made our day magical. We live about an hour away from WDW and have been countless times. We’ve had several of those magical moments and we cherish those wonderful memories. That’s just a part of Disney magic. We can enjoy each other’s happy memories.

About a decade ago, a cast-member approached us and invited my son to throw out the first pitch to open Casey’s restaurant. It was truly magical!

btw, I’m a single-mom and my son was about 8. Disney clearly recognized that we are a family of 2.

And now that you have posted for everyone to see, it will not special anymore, everyone will for ask for it and it will go away.
