Killing the memories of history every time. They have may abandoned acres of land they could develop but choose not to use it and it’s Absolutely stupid!
They couldn’t do anything correctly if it was simplified for them.
They better have Chernobog as part of the Villains Land. For whatever reason Disney seems totally chicken and ball-less when it comes to Chernobog. It only wants to feature lukewarm and “women villains” gets really tired and old.
Chernabog is known as a primary Disney villain, yet rarely gets attention these days. He should be included of course if it is a true “villains land” then they could re-introduce him and make $$$, almost as if he’s a new character….that would be smart, but Disney has not been very smart lately….
What on earth are the Imagineers doing. This is a slap in the face to Walt and Roy and insulting to every park goer.
Then you break ground for an entire park after you destroyed Frontierland.
RIP WDW
As a former annual passholder for decades, I would like to see the reservation requirement removed from the annual passholder category. I refuse to spend the amount of money an annual pass costs to be possibly told that I can’t come on a certain day or days of the year.
The destruction of Rivers of America and Liberty Square – which were so important to Walt/Roy has ruined the magic Kingdom forever. They could have expanded (as they allegedly are for the Villains land) but it was more important to destroy legacy. Bob Iger, the board and top management suck
They have destroyed the theme of The Studios park….it was old school Hollywood now it’s evolving into who knows?…what is happening to Frontier Land is just wrong…it was the history of the Magic Kingdom!! They should have just built the new stuff somewhere else!! The star wars hotel was a waste before it even started!! Now they’re building another vacation club hotel on the seven seas….why?? The Polynesian looks ridiculous with that overdone addition as is!!! They just keep on ruining everything they can…. It’s shameful what they are doing and since no one else seems to like it either….then why do it???? Greed and a waste of resources, forestland, and alot of money…..poor business planning!!!!
this doesn’t bother me too much. so many rides have been reimagined over the years, there are only a few that seem to be ‘protected’. even the protected ones have been updated as time goes on.
if I take my kids they’ll remember the parks as they are when they go.
I enjoyed Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Magic Kingdom, but it’s gone, and what I have in my memory probably exceeds what the reality was.
now, if they can get over their attempts to groom children through cartoons, then maybe my kids will go. as it stands, we stopped allowing cigarettes to be marketed to kids through advertising, so I’m hopeful that sanity prevails.
As a construction manager, I find it a bit premature to be clearing land without having first developed a master plan. By their own admission, Disney has no idea what to even build in a villains themed land. Without that basic knowledge it’s impossible to develop a master plan. Without a plan they are simply moving earth without thought of any kind. Truly a waste of resources and finances. Then they wonder why everything is always over budget at takes twice as long to complete than projected.

I’m pretty heartbroken too. Bad enough splash mountain, now this. They are popping the disney magic one bubble at a time.

The isle of the lost would be cool. It integrates Malificent, Evil Queen, Jafar, cruelly, Lady Tremaine, Ursula and more
