    Boycott Corporate Greed 🖕🤬🖕

Not what it used to be…for me it was defined by the Backlot Tour, car stunt show, Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster. It would be better if all those remained with the addition of Star Wars Galaxy Edge and Toy Story Land.

        💯!!!!!!

OMG who cares! It costs a fortune to go to the parks …give me the best attractions not the same old crap from 30 years ago when the park opened. Bring back star wars fireworks

    1. Rich V

Star Wars is 5 yrs older than Epcot! Enough of that! Why all the new Star Wars junk at Disney in the last decade when the 21st cent SW movies were all flops & theaters were empty?
I stopped going to Epcot when they closed Horizons.

Seems like Hollywood Studios is going the exact same route as California Adventure: Losing its original tribute theme and being re-themed with a bunch of Disney’s/Pixar’s most popular IPs! (Still bitter over Twilight Zone TOT being replaced with GOTG! 😡) Hopefully DCA doesn’t replace/re-theme Grizzly River Run with more Pixar-related crap, because that’s like one of the last ORIGINAL rides left in the park since opening day! 😵‍💫

Both Studios and DCA will be returning to their original themes because Disney is being broken up as a monopoly and will be losing its acquisitions so that means Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars will have to go to avoid billions in royalties. That means DCA will get its Tower of Terror back and Galaxy’s Edge will close.

I hope so Disney has lost of what Walt Disney had in mind, Plus Universal Orlando still has the Hollywood theme.

  4. I loved this park

As long as they dont touch tower of terror. They already took away my favorite ride, the great movie ride away. Just leave me 1. 🙏🏽

It sounds like Disney’s getting rid of attractions that it has to pay royalties on and is pushing its own IP.

      1. Steve

Well the company is being broken up like Standard Oil. That will mean having to remove Marvel, Pixar, and any Lucasfilm rides and attractions that didn’t involve George. On the other hand The Great Movie Ride is returning in the not too distant future and the royalties Disney had to pay for it if any were pocket change compared to the billions Disney will owe Marvel and Pixar with those two studios independent again.

You have millions of acres you haven’t even touched, yet! Build new on that part of the land. REMEMBER, there are millions of people who grew up making memories on the attractions you want to replace.

    1. A

Your memories won’t be erased. I don’t understand why people want to do the same exact thing over and over and over again just for the sake of nostalgia.

      1. Steve

Because the Disney parks were built on nostalgia. There’s nothing wrong with keeping the parks the same and doing the same attractions over and over again. Plus Disney can no longer be trusted to make anything better. Thr parks are made so that kids are supposed to experience the same things as their parents and grandparents. The parks are heirlooms. In less than 20 years it will be Disney-MGM Studios again and back in the 1990s. There is nothing wrong with moving backwards.

    2. Dawn

I agree! Instead of getting rid of attractions that people love, create another park to relieve some congestion from the other parks. Make a Pixar Park. Keep Hollywood Stidios all about movies. I never lik e d the Norway ride being replaced with Frozen either.

      1. Robert

Another park? You already have 3 parks with hardly any ride in them. Add more rides to the existing parks.

    3. R Firefly

Have you looked at an aerial map of Hollywood Studios recently? It’s basically jammed in, surrounded on all sides. There aren’t “millions of acres”. Heck, there aren’t millions of buildable acres on WDW property, thanks to natural impediments and preservation agreements

There were the citizens of Hollywood who would come out and do their act. You could have conversations with them and it was enjoyable. You could interact with the Jawas in the launch bay and other things that they no longer have. I miss some of the stuff they have removed and others I do not miss.

  8. Eric

Many things have changed in 36 years since this park opened, most notably it is no longer a working studio. Yes we all long for past memories, but this Park needs a complete revamp to create a new vision & Park.

  9. Nate

It already wasn’t the same after they changed the name from Disney-MGM Studios. They got rid of the backlot tour and animation studio and the water tower. After that, I could care less what they named it or did to the park.

  10. Jim

I’ve been going to Disney World since the early 80’s . They have lost their way

  11. I do miss the old rides. If you’re not a Star Wars fan, it really cuts down your ride selection. Wish they’d just leave it- if it ain’t broken don’t fix it.

  12. Kim

1000% agree this park has lost its way. The old Hollywood was what this park was about. Getting rid of pretty much everything that was Hollywood was a mistake. I hate Star wars and how they jammed Toy Story land in. You could once walk through on both sides and not feel trapped.

  14. Chris

I hate Starwars area. Bring back the backlog tour, the Great Movie Ride and the walk through animation and keep rockin roller coaster and tower of terror. This park had a special feel to it that has been destroyed with the elimination of the classi rides that were routed in Hollywood. The recording studio, the stage where you could reenact a classic I love Lucy episode…things that the other parks didn’t offer….please go back to your roots.

my parents took me to Disney for the first time when I was 6, and for a while, we went every 2 years after that.

I remember Mr. Toad’s wild ride, and a few others that are no longer attractions with so much fondness, but I’m glad they were removed.

the last time I went, getting on Peter Pan was great and all, but I can easily compare my childhood lens of that ride vs what I experienced when I was 40 something. it’s not the same, and I’m glad Mr. Toad will be in my mind what it was when I was still a ‘kid’ (even though I was in my 20s, who I was then, vs today, I was still a kid) when it closed.

anyway, yeah, close stuff and open new stuff, it is what it is.

I only wish they’d get away from the politics. just focus on bringing joy, rather than bringing some feigned righteousness.

Just more examples of how badly Bob Iger is as a CEO. All he and the board of directors care about is erasing the legacy that is Walt Disney and putting money in the pockets of share holders no matter the cost. Because there is no family of walt still on thr board this park shouldn’t even bare his name anymore

  17. Bert

Disney has recored earnings so far this year. Not so broke from going woke. Look it up for your informed comment.

    1. Steve

No it absolutely has not. Disney is absolutely going broke and will be selling off its divisions when it’s broken up.

      1. Bert

You didn’t look it up, so your comment is uninformed. Again, look it up.
