This is a very short sighted approach, when the economy tanks and it WILL at some point, the people who used to have good will towards Disney and are least affected by the massive swings in the economy simply aren’t going to be there to bail them out yet again, they will be going elsewhere while those who can afford the current prices will no longer have the money to spend on things like Disney.

This has been true for decades now

There was a time when the summer included a trp to Disneyland, for me it started as a child of 5 in 1957, and continued for many years including my grandchildren, but that has stopped. I had looked forward to this time in my life when I would take my young grandchildren to the park, but I refuse to pay the outrageous amount of money Disney now demands. Our last visit to the park was nearly 10 years ago, with no plans to return until Disney greed embodied by this CFO dissipates.

We use to go every year & we took our Grand Joys when they turned 7 for a special trip with Grandma & PaPa.

Only 4 have been able to go now since we started this tradition – we simply cannot afford it anymore.

A $5000 week long vacation on property with Deluxe meal plan has almost doubled.

Makes me sad for young families who can no longer enjoy the magic of Disney!
