Really simple solution. You want to film on the ride, wear a go pro harness on your chest. Then as you get in line and as you board, some cast member checks your rig and if they don’t feel it’s secure, you don’t load. Will probably require some terms of service rules rewrite to reflect that so the cast member can kick you out of the line for it.

  2. Kyle Pallo is the worst perpetrator of this. He filmed “Haygrids” just the other day.

YUP. I gave birth to him, am his banker and even I am disappointed.

He even films on Tron…(Disney doesn’t enforce the filming rules, otherwise vloggers that don’t follow the rules should be banned from the parks)…vloggers are most annoying throughout the parks sticking their cameras in your face and disrupting rides and meals!

Kyle Pallo should be banned for breaking rules. Period. Why should his “job” and income source be breaking rules?

Everyone riding Hagrid’s goes through a metal detector before riding. If the metal detector goes off, they get wanded. When the wand goes off, they are asked “what’s this?” Anything loose (such as cellphone), the person is ejected from the line and told to stow it in a locker or with a nonrider. They then rejoin the line from the end of it. Yes, even if it’s a 9999 minute wait.

    1. yes

hagrids does not have metal detectors

The best and most logical solution is to have Shrek come out and tell any and all offenders, “You’re on the right way to a smacked bottom.”

You drop your phone you lose it. You drop your phone and it injures someone, they take your personal info when you try to claim your phone and give that information to the injured party.

Parks partially responsable for increasing problem by granting special privileges and access to influencers and vloggers for free publicity. Much more annoying than average tourist and set a precedent others want to follow or one up.

Idiots using mobiles to film on coasters need banning from the park. It’s dangerous for other riders. Bad enough the ones using flash on normal rides but you’re only pissing people off, not endangering them

  9. Very simple solution. You want to record on your phone. Kick them out and ban them from the park. Imagine one of these phones flying out of someone’s hand and hitting someone in the head. It can potentially kill someone.
    Enough is enough

If they lose their phone on a ride, inform the person who lost it to go to the information center and give them your name and address and what ride they lost it on. The park will send them their phone once it’s retrieved at the end of the day. This will prevent people from holding a phone up while on a ride. A patriot of the park shouldn’t get injured by a flying phone, especially if they were glasses or contacts.

I think it should be posted- and upheld by the Parks- that if you lose your phone, that is your fault, and *may* get it back someday; that any phone causing harm shall have its owner pay the damages. When threatened with money charges, a lot of folks have the intelligence to put their phones away. Or maybe put lockers near the rides? But all cast members, etc., MUST ENFORCE THE RULES or be censored- maybe even lose pay. Kind of harsh, but saving a person from harm because some idiot just has to have their shot, being selfish and a jerk would help in the Parks legal department. And yes- if someone loses their phone because they are filming…maybe a permanent ban will be the cure.
