I enjoyed Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. Many good memories made in the 1970’s through current times.

Too bad Disney didn’t just build a new park in the 30,000 spare ackers available for IP like Cars. It could have been a win/win.

They are steadily trying to get rid of the classics and anything American.

      Boycott corporate greed 🖕🤬🖕

Touche! The river boat Tom Sawyer was a hat tip to Missouri the state Walt and Roy identified with HOME. This current regime must eliminate all traces of Walt and Roy.

You’re overlapping pop-ups are more annoying than anything Disney has ever done. I’m done with you

Another hoax. I look forward to enjoying the Rivers of America in 2046 when WDW celebrates its 75th and has been made great again. There will be no Cars. And Pixar will be gone with the wind after the Disney company is broken up.

Disney execs should fired than shot in the gutt, because they don’t have a heart or a brain. They can do us all a favor and drop dead

After 60+ years of going to Disney parks, it is starting not to be enjoyable. It is not Walt’s dream anymore. cars in Frontierland, Disney execs should be arrested for using drugs.

Huge Mistake Disney! At least your consistent. One bad decision after another. The demise of Fast Pass, ridiculous price increases, park reservations, closing of great movie ride, backlot tour, motors and sound cars, in HS, etc, etc. Walt would be rolling over in his grave. Universal studios is going to further your downfall. Management at the highest level must go!

How did these people get in charge. All the things that made memories from my childhood with my father and now my 18-year-old son who is going to college these buffoons (wanted to call them something elts but did want to write it) get rid of. Disney use to be about memories that tug at your heart. Part of that is the old times. Time people did not grow up in but could experience at Disney world. As a kid and a father of have gone to Disney World at least 15 or more times. Been on Cruses and every time we go back, I shake my head. The feel we had in past just is not the same. I just hope someday someone get this park and restores it. They can start by putting the Red Head back into pirates. The people in charge are terrible.

The Rivers of America is never being removed. It’s all fake. They will still be there when WDW celebrates its 75th on October 1, 2046 and when every trace of the Iger era has been removed. The redhead is being restored to Pirates soon, too. The majority of fans will celebrate the news and only a small vocal minority will be angry and boycott over the bride auction being restored.

  9. Walt

Disney has PLENTY of room to expand the MK – but they chose not to. This is intentional. Iger, et al including the board SUCK!

After ignoring fans and changing Splash Mountian, getting rid of Rivers and Tom Sawyer’s Island was just one more, “I can’t believe this,” moment. I am convinced that Bob Iger is jealous of Walt Disney and sees himself on par with Walt Disney’s creative genius. In one last major change before he retires, Iger is destroying Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer’s Island to prove what a creative person he is. I no longer feel the same way about WDW that I did ten years ago. I thank Iger and his changes for that. If their plan was to drive away the loyal Disney fan, someone who has visited the parks since 1973 in my case, then Iger’s plan has worked very well. By the way, I am taking my family with me.
