It’s been 6 years since I went to WDW for MMMC yearly event. It requires a different Ticket. My disability issues make it more difficult to get around and enjoy the special events. Therefore, my goal is to get a spot way before people start gathering. I use an electric scooter, choose a spot & wait. And yes, many started to block me off. Without any consideration, they placed themselves in front of me. BUT, to my surprise, an employee who had been doing her job came to my rescue. She moved the people, pulled me in front and didn’t say a word. People with kids, I personally asked them to sit in front for them to enjoy the Christmas parade and so did I 🫶🏼. Ever since then, going through so much hassle to enjoy my favorite time of the year, ended. My Ticket was paid to enjoy, not to be treated hostile. Scooters are not toys and that magical behavior experienced yrs ago, no longer exist. Thanks to the assistance from the employee, the Parade was enjoyed by the kids and myself. Parents behind me and to the side, did thank me. It’s a matter of being nice. My favorite part of the Parade was hearing the kids shout & laugh with excitement 😄.
The rest of the night was difficult to move around while people jumped in front Without any consideration. No! Never again. 😢 Love MK but can’t risk my safety.
The more people held accountable for bad behavior, the less likely they will be guilty of it. Consequences do make a difference in behavior! Ban them from the parks and future would-be wrongdoers won’t be feeling as free to do whatever they want. Simple psychology & behavioral modification.
Foreigner tourists at Disney are always the absolute worst. Disgustingly rude and sometimes even violent, they have no respect for etiquette or other people, and are always the most obnoxious and entitled garbage humans.
The only people comparable are those with stroller and wheelchair entitlement.
😲 wow! The characters on the floats are up high, so even if you are back a ways, you can surely see. Infact, being up in front hinders your view sometimes. I just don’t get why people the past few years (since COVID), have gotten ruly and down-right disrespectful. It isn’t just at the parks (schools, shootings, grocery stores, etc.), it seems everywhere some think they are entitled and above the law & rules.
Disney should stop caring more about how much money is coming in and start being more protective of the respectful visitors. Start getting tougher. No chances, just outright lifetime bans and enforce them. If you’re banned at one park, you’re banned from all!!
Sadly I see this during the parades and the fireworks show. During the 70th celebration for Disneyland, our family waited for hours in the spot they wanted to watch the parade from. A woman that could barely speak English, kept trying to push her way in front of us and kept repeating she was putting her daughter where another family member was already sitting. We did not allow it, but the nerve of these people that think it’s okay to push their way in front of you. If that’s how they behave in their country, I do not need to visit there.
