Who wants to go when it’s hot, humid and rainy. And also the rides are always breaking down and then there’s the changing again in an inconvenient way. So many things at one time.
first off i never have gone to Florida nm Disney in summer its too damn hot in summer. 2nd Frankly i will be avoiding Florida as its no longer a safe place to go as a queer persons or couple traveling. nor is it safe as a mixed tace to visit Florida currently. Desantis has made the state an unwelcoming place to visit. and sadly this ks likely hurting Disney park numbers.
If I waa gonna visit Disney currently id be going to Anaheim on other side of country instead. and even thats been less appealing since reports of ICE harassing at offsite hotels and resorts. Bluntly put Maga reign has hurt Disney attendamce its a major reason we chose not to go this year at all when original had plans to visit in February we cancelled cause we are terrifies to go anywhere near Florida im gay and my two friends who i was planning trip with are trans we decided Florida simply wasnt safe for us to go at all anymore. Florida has also attaxked black and latinos in large numbers i bet that has alot to do with recent reports of drop in latino and black guest numbers this past year as well.
Sadly i fear Disney in Florida may be near death cause Florida is no longer a welcoming place to visit for so many different people groups of minorities. myself im a US native of Mexican fecent so i definitely am put off by reporrs of ICE at Anaheim as well! Disney is being financially harmed by political attacks on guests its that simple.
Between all of the utterly stupid and ridiculous changes they’ve made and are in the process of making, the prices exploding and nickel and diming along with treating resident annual pass holders like crap …..I wonder why attendence is going down……🤔
