Credit: Inside the MagicJurassic World Rebirth (2025) is storming through theaters and has already grossed over $300 million globally in its opening weekend (nearly twice its budget), according to Variety.
The seventh film in the series, whose first six entries grossed over $6 billion combined between 1993 and 2022, is directed by Gareth Edwards (2014’s Godzilla) with a script by original franchise scribe David Koepp (Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park).
It stars Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame) as covert ops expert Zora Bennett, who’s hired to lead a team to retrieve life-changing dinosaur DNA from giant creatures on an abandoned InGen island where genetic mutations have roamed free for 17 years.
Now, to coincide with the film’s release, a making-of featurette titled Jurassic World Rebirth: The Making of a New Era is officially streaming on Peacock.
The 20+ minute documentary offers fans a deep dive into the latest film in the franchise, which started with Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking sci-fi thriller in 1993. Watch the teaser below:

Jurassic World Rebirth: The Making of a New Era features BTS footage on location in Thailand and Malta, extended scenes from the film, and interviews with the cast and crew, including Johansson, Mahershala Ali (Zora’s trusted team leader Duncan Kincaid), Jonathan Bailey (paleontologist and voice of reason Dr. Henry Loomis), and director Gareth Edwards.
When Can I Stream Jurassic World Rebirth?
Universal Pictures has yet to confirm an official streaming release date for Jurassic World Rebirth, however, according to the movie tracking website DVDs Release Dates, it will be available on digital movie platforms on August 5, one month after its theatrical release date.
Per the film’s Wikipedia page, Jurassic World Rebirth “will first stream on Peacock for the first four months of the pay-TV window, before moving to Prime Video for the next 10, and returning to Peacock for the remaining four,” as part of a long-term deal with Amazon Prime Video for Universal’s live-action films. It also stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (Dead Boy Detectives), Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs Lopez), Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) in supporting roles.
