Halloween Horror Nights fans have watched Universal Orlando Resort’s social media like hawks for weeks, waiting for another big announcement. Was it going to be another haunted house reveal? A long-rumored scare zone? Maybe even a new icon? Instead, Universal went one step further—they dropped two huge reveals on the same day.

The HHN 2025 Lineup Is Already Looking Strong

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal is always one of the year’s most anticipated events. Known for its over-the-top haunted houses, elaborate scare zones, and hauntingly immersive atmosphere, the event transforms the parks into a full-on nightmare fuel factory (in the best way possible).

So far, Universal has revealed a few heavy-hitting haunted houses for this year’s event, including Jason Universe, which brings the hockey-masked slasher back to Crystal Lake for a terrifying walkthrough experience. Also announced is Terrifier, based on the cult horror film series featuring Art the Clown—expect blood, screams, and some seriously disturbing moments. There’s rumored to be a “wet” and “dry” path, if that tells you anything.

As the lineup continues to grow, HHN 2025 is already shaping up to be one of the most intense years yet.

More Screams, More Fun: Extras That Go Beyond the Houses

If you’ve never been to HHN, here’s something important: there’s more than just haunted houses and scare zones. Universal has added a variety of “extras” over the years to give guests more ways to scream, snack, and splurge.

Guests can book R.I.P. Tours for guided front-of-line access, take part in Unmasking the Horror Tours to explore the houses in daylight, or even purchase Express Passes to skip the long wait times. There’s exclusive event merchandise, themed food and drinks, and photo ops that bring you face-to-face with this year’s monsters.

And now, two epic experiences are joining that list.

Two Big Additions Are Heating Up This Year’s Event

ANNOUNCEMENT #1

The first big reveal is the return of Universal’s fan-favorite high-energy performance—this time with a brand-new twist. Nightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay is the next evolution of the wildly popular Nightmare Fuel series. This year’s installment promises even more pyrotechnics, acrobatics, and horror-fueled choreography, all wrapped in a disturbing circus theme. This show will again take over the stadium-style Fear Factor Live venue on the park’s south end, giving guests a pulse-pounding break between haunted houses.

ANNOUNCEMENT #2

The second surprise has fans buzzing: Universal is also bringing back a lagoon show for HHN. Titled Haunt-O-Phonic, this nighttime spectacular will take place on the Central Lagoon and mix projections, music, and spooky visual effects into one chilling experience. Lagoon shows have long been part of Universal’s daytime and holiday entertainment lineup. Still, Haunt-O-Phonic marks the first time in years the event will include a dedicated nighttime display during Halloween Horror Nights. These shows typically run several times a night and offer guests a great spot to relax—and scream—between scares.

Live shows have always supported HHN, running multiple times throughout the evening and allowing guests to catch their breath (or lose it again). But this year’s offerings are entirely different.

Two Big Reasons to Visit This Fall

Between the haunted houses, immersive scare zones, and now two very different—but equally epic—live shows, HHN 2025 is shaping up to be truly special. Whether you’re a returning fan or considering making your first trip, this year’s event has two massive upgrades worth screaming about.
