When people picture Disney World during the holidays, Magic Kingdom usually takes the crown. With its snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A.,  glowing Cinderella Castle, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it’s easy to see why. But in 2025, there’s a new holiday MVP in town—and it’s not where most people look. Hollywood Studios is shaping up to be the ultimate spot for Disney’s holiday magic this year.

What the Other Parks Bring to the Holiday Table

Let’s give credit where it’s due—every Disney park offers something special for the holidays.

At Magic Kingdom, the focus is all about tradition. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party comes packed with cookie stations, holiday parades, fireworks, and rare characters. It’s a fan-favorite for good reason, but it’s also the most crowded event of the season.

EPCOT leans into culture and heart with the International Festival of the Holidays. Storytellers share seasonal customs from around the globe, food booths serve festive treats, and the Candlelight Processional combines music and meaning with a full orchestra and celebrity narrators.

Over at Animal Kingdom, you’ll find glowing animal lanterns, themed character flotillas, and seasonal projections on the Tree of Life. It’s more subtle and serene, perfect for those who want a quiet Christmas wonder.

Hollywood Studios Is Bringing the Glam

Now here’s where things get interesting. Hollywood Studios is doing something the other parks aren’t—it’s creating a stylish, nostalgic, and party-ready holiday experience that feels totally unique.

The retro decorations alone are worth the visit. Oversized ornaments float in Echo Lake, vintage tinsel trees line Sunset Boulevard, and Gertie the Dinosaur sports her signature Santa hat with pride. It all feels like stepping into a golden-age holiday film.

Jollywood Nights: The Underdog Event of the Year

The real showstopper at Hollywood Studios this year is Jollywood Nights. What started as a bit of a mixed bag in 2023 has been totally reworked into a must-do in 2025. This after-hours event focuses on live entertainment, themed lounges, rare characters, and festive food. Instead of cocoa and carols, you’re sipping holiday cocktails and swaying to big band jazz.

Expect throwback vibes with a modern twist, an exclusive stage show or two, and appearances from characters you won’t find anywhere else in the parks. Even better? It feels more grown-up without losing the Disney charm.

A Holiday You’ll Remember Differently

While Magic Kingdom might still be the “classic” holiday destination, Hollywood Studios is the one that feels fresh in 2025. It’s stylish. It’s nostalgic. It’s a little bit unexpected. And with Jollywood Nights returning in full force, this park is ready to take the Christmas crown.
