WAKE up call!!!!!! Parents do you know hand holding to prevent children from walking into poles in a new place is legal???? Also, if you have insurance did anyone check to see if it covered out of town injuries?? Glue huh?? My son slipped standing on a dinner table chair. He required staples to close the wound. Had his other parent or I been doing our JOBS, he would have never had the chance to fall. See where this is going?? I have been to the Orlando parks probably 1,000 plus times over the years with 5 kids, never once had an injury. I have had kids with massive colds, sneezing, and sore throats, the med staffs at the parks always understanding and willing to help. Odd I remember once, the water fountain there wasn’t totally cool, can I get a claim on that? Odd how everyone blames someone else for their lack of responsibility.

Can’t believe I even read such a ridiculous story. Are these parents serious? I’ve walked into a pole at Disney & other places because I wasn’t paying attention. An excited kid at Disney isn’t paying attention, up to the parent to be aware & move child away from pole.
Disney gets blamed for ridiculous things.

I’m smelling another lawsuit coming on. There are plenty of ambulance chasers in Orlando who wouldn’t mind going after Disney… again.

It’s the parents responsibility, plain and simple! If it happened anywhere else, would they still expect someone else to pay for it? Get real!

Disney wasn’t negligent. The parents were. What were they doing, staring at their phones and not watching their kid who was probably staring at her own phone? No, Disney should NOT pay.

I seen a 3 yr old on the smart phone! & have YET to see even ONE gen z look both ways or even 1 way b4 crossing a street!

You saw a 3 yo with a phone. “I seen” just sounds dumb and looks even worse when you actually typed it out.

If you truly love and care about your child you’d be keeping a close eye on them in a new and overcrowded place like that. But like most modern parents, they’re immature and irresponsible. They were probably on their phones, not paying attention to their daughter.
Hey who knows, it could’ve been a set up to, just to get money and internet publicity using their child to do it.

Of course Disney should pay and there should be signs on all the posts, trees and any other thing a child to walk into warning of the danger. Also there should be signs on curbs for tripping hazards, and also on door thresholds. Which brings up another potential hazard – DOORS. My god you could walk into a closed door so there should be signs warning you to open them before walking through.

When my child was around 3, she dislocated her elbow due to not wanting to get off a climbing structure. As we tried to pull her off, her elbow was dislocated. Disney was so kind to her/us and took us to emergency where the doctor, and all the interns on duty, came into the room where the doctor showed them how to put it back in place. While insurance covered most of the bill, I never even considered asking Disney to cover the rest as they were not responsible for her stubbornness.

Travel Insurance probably would have covered the bill, if they had purchased it. You never know what’s going to happen while on vacation. Don’t want to buy they Insurance? Then don’t whine about the bills.

WHY can’t that child watch where see’s walking.? No Disney should not pay one cent.

People see any incident at disney and a cash register ding. Parents need to always monitor their children. Not walk way ahead nor behind. Like others said hold the hand. Don’t get me started on pools where parents put kids in and go to bar.

  12. So I broke my front 2 teeth off at an Angel the top two teeth in the front and it was from the la brea factory Rolls obviously too old dah! Because the both snapped in 2 btw of course Disney refused to give me anything nada zip zelch just 3 week wait till I got back in town to go to my dentist and get both front teeth crowned and root canals btw about 5 k and obviously it was at the Cinderala Castle which isn’t cheap! So fair warning they saw the aftermath and did nothing.

  13. So I ate at Cinderella Castle and bite into la brea bakery roll and my front 2 teeth on top got cut off at a perfect angle and the server saw the damage and gave us a paper which said send everything to our insurance company that did nothing. Meanwhile 3 weeks later I got hit with a 5 k bill. Btw I’m sure this isn’t the first person that had their teeth broken by those extra hard rolls!

  14. I once dislocated my shoulder getting into a van at the Miami airport because of the cheap little stool they had people stepping on to get in. I sued and got something. But in this case Disney was in no way at fault. They chose to seek further medical attention at the er. They got the ambulance covered. Everyone knows how crazy expensive an er ends up being. Kinda sounds like the trip to the er wasn’t necessary. Their choice so their bill
