Controversy has erupted among Disney Parks fans online after a TikTok video showed a father confronting Disney cast members for separating him from his children. However, the altercation occurred after the family joined the Single Rider line for Radiator Springs Racers, which Disneyland Resort openly states means that guests will be separated from their travel parties.
Single Rider lines are perfect for solo travelers or groups that don’t mind splitting up in exchange for shorter attraction wait times at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Disneyland Resort offers Single Rider lines at Goofy’s Sky School, Incredicoaster, Radiator Springs Racers, Grizzly River Run, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Soarin’ Over California, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Space Mountain.

However, the Disneyland Resort website directly states that the Single Rider service “allows groups to split up and embark on select attractions individually.” It writes that “immediate boarding or choice of seat is not guaranteed,” and “special seating requests may not be accommodated.” Guests must be at least seven years old to ride any Disneyland Resort attraction alone. These guidelines are usually posted at the Single Rider line entrance, and Disney cast members will often confirm whether guests are okay with riding solo before entering the queue.
Unfortunately, some Disney Park guests ignore the Single Rider line rules and try to get shorter wait times while still riding with their party. On July 8, TikTok user @gadzooks2025 shared a video of an “entitled” man yelling at Radiator Springs Racers cast members while his children cowered nearby. According to the TikToker, “he and his kids got in the Single Rider line and he got mad bc their party got split up.”

In the video, the man refuses to leave the Single Rider queue with his children. At one point, he demands, “Call security,” but Disney cast members initially decline. The video ends without clarifying whether security got involved in the situation.
Overwhelmingly, Disney Parks fans defended the cast members in the comments.
“I feel bad for the cast members dealing with idiiots like this,” @runner8080 wrote.

“There are signs and you are told over and over you will be split up,” @njtransplant replied. “Honestly should be no discussion, send em to the back of the line and say try again.”
Some social media users called for Disneyland Resort to ban the father over his behavior.
“We don’t need that crap here at Disneyland,” said @user87658362648. “Ban the guy.”

“They should just start banning these people,” @ronnietheballoongirl agreed. “They are ruining the vibes.”
If your group joins a Single Rider line at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, prepare to be split up. If you want to ride with your party, use the standby queue or purchase Lightning Lane access.
