Totally agree, when this weather becomes an issue the park hours should shift to stay open later so that people actually have time to be indoors midday and still use their tickets for good amount of time
It’s easy to say but what if you only have 2-3 days to see everything you wanted to see? How long does it take just to see rise of the resistance or tron lightcycle? Nobody is going to pay attention to this after spending thousands and thousands of dollars to see these parks BUT you should have had enough sense not to book your trip in the middle of summer anyway?
Bring back the latter nights during summer – which used to be a thing.
Makes for much more opportunity to have a fun trip in summer. When my son was small it was easy to fit a few hours in the am , long nap and lunch at the hotel and evening at the park into every day. Now it can be impossible to do this because the parks close so early. Kind of counter intuitive to suggest people stay in the hotel midday and sell them expensive tickets that give access primarily when the sun is high.
Seriously, only makes them look greedy to continue with the shorter hours.
We lived in Yuma Arizona for 2 decades. A dry 112° day is way more comfortable than a humidity feel like 112°.
You can really feel the difference when the monsoon season hits Yuma. Can’t use your swamp coolers so it’s back to AC and high bills. The sweat doesn’t evaporate off of you and it’s miserable.
When it’s dry and you sweat it’s actually cooling you not just making you sweat and making you feel miserable

I was hoping for more than 2-1/2 hours in one of the parks for my $500+ (pass, budget room, food, travel there/n back) ticket today.
