The fact that you do not hear anyone humming” zip a dee do da” off ride or in park says it all about splash mountain. Disney does not know enough to leave ” “great” ALONE.
You must be young and not remember how wonderful The Song Of The South book and movie was. It’s was the book my children and grandchildren always asked . Fox, bear & tar baby was forever remembered as very special.
Yes you do. There is no Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Splash Mountain is alive and well. I was there for WDW’s 75th and Disneyland’s centennial. Both Splash Mountains are still there and all things Tiana are banned like Pete Rose.
Yes Disney will be moving away from wokeness. I was there for WDW’s 75th and it’s back to the way it was in the 1990s and being boycotted for being unwoke.
It still has the bones of the original ride, which is a good ride. A lot of the problem is – even a ride has to tell a story. And the story just isn’t good. The ride is positioned after the events of the movie, you spend the whole ride waiting for a party that – when it comes – is only a few second. Anti-climactic to say the least. I think they should re-tell the movie – for riders to reminisce the trials, triumphs, and tears of the movie, culminating the in the splash that resolves the issues as Tiana triumphs. The post movie events should all be concentrated in Tiana’s place restaurant as a triumph of her spirit. If the ride had done that, we would have a very different fan reaction, and people would have loved it. How could Disney take such great source material as Princess and Frog and totally mangle the story line of the ride?
Sorry Disney has not always been WOKE. I had been going to Disney from the first year it opened and went every year since two , three times a year. Disney did not turn WOKE until it started changing ride themes and trying to appeal to the left which was about 10-15 years ago. It also started when Disney bought in all the CEO’s from CA.
This attraction was the history of our country as well Pirates of the Caribbean. Erasing history that offends you it will be repeated.
If it is offensive don’t go.
Put on your big boy and girl pants and move on.
Go woke and then broke.

Nice to see you trolling around ITM still. Your childish delusions are worthy of being utilized by the likes of the Onion

And we’re supposed to put stock in a comment from someone who spells his chat name “dinsey”? Nice try trying. LOL

Maybe take your own advice, BKC. If it’s offensive to you the way it is now, don’t go. Go find those grownup pants you’re so fond of and move on.

If the old Splash Mountain was alive at Disney Parks, I wish and hope it could be Song of the South related with a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah magic.
Steve
It is alive. There is no such thing as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Two chances to spell it right; two chances bungled. I guess that’s what copy & paste will get ya. Thanks for the laughs, Mr. “Dinsey”.
