Recently, something changed with one of Disney World’s most beloved snacks—longtime fans are doing a double take. You might want to brace yourself before grabbing your next churro.

Fan-Favorite Snacks Worth Celebrating

Let’s be honest—the snacks are legendary when Disney gets it right. From sweet to savory, there’s no shortage of fan-favorites across the parks:

  • Churro Milkshake at EPCOT: Over-the-top in the best way, this shake from Sunshine Seasons comes loaded with whipped cream, a mini doughnut, a Mickey ice cream bar, and a churro to top it all off.

  • S’mores Churro at Blizzard Beach: This one’s a sugar lover’s dream—chunks of churro topped with gooey marshmallow cream, chocolate drizzle, and toasted marshmallows.

  • Churro Family Platter at Animal Kingdom: A giant tray of bite-sized churros with sprinkles and dipping sauces. It’s perfect for sharing—or not.

These types of snacks keep guests coming back. They’re fun, flavorful, and photo-worthy. So when a snack as iconic as the churro gets changed, people notice

Disney’s Restaurant Lineup Keeps Growing

Beyond snacks, Disney’s always experimenting with new food concepts and dining options. And lately, the variety has exploded:

  • Casey’s Corner still dishes out loaded hot dogs and that cinnamon roll that’s the size of your face.

  • Connections Eatery at EPCOT has added sweet treats like the Baumkuchen cake that almost looks too pretty to eat.

The Churro Letdown

Here’s where things take a strange turn. Over at Hollywood Studios, Disney rolled out a new version of the churro… and let’s just say it’s not what anyone expected. The snack in question? Bouncin’ Mini Churros topped with Coca-Cola and bourbon candied bacon, sriracha aïoli, and scallions.

Yes, you read that right.

Instead of the classic warm, cinnamon sugar treat we all know and love, Disney delivered a savory spin that has guests scratching their heads. The combo of soda glaze, spicy mayo, and green onions on churros is, at best, an acquired taste—and for most Disney fans, it’s a hard pass. It’s the kind of bold twist that might work on a hot dog or maybe wings… but churros? That’s a risky move.
