There are a number of incredible experiences awaiting Disney fans in 2025, both inside the parks and out. Guests have several special events and parties to look forward to, namely Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s annual Oogie Boogie Bash.
These fright-filled, candy-coated Halloween events are some of the most popular times to visit the parks, but this is hardly all that’s happening this year.
This year also marks a turning point for Disney’s theme parks, as multiple expansion projects begin. Guests saw multiple closures at Magic Kingdom in July, and several more locations and attractions are set to close later this year. However, theme parks are just one small part of The Walt Disney Company, with big things also on the way for Disney Vacation Club members.
Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Weeks 2025

Disney Vacation Club is bringing back Welcome Home Weeks at the end of this summer. From August 14 through September 16, 2025, DVC members can enjoy a variety of special perks. These perks range from free treats, snacks, and events to meetups at Disney’s theme parks.
One of the “sweetest” perks is a free Mickey Ice Cream Bar, which members will be able to grab along with other ice cream desserts at the following locations:
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Location: Tower of Terror Courtyard
- Dates: Mondays and Tuesdays, starting August 18th, 2025
- Times: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- Location: Upcountry Landing in Asia
- Dates: Thursdays and Fridays, starting August 14th, 2025

Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s own timeshare vacation system. Launched in 1991, DVC is intended to give travelers special ways to vacation, with properties located all around the country. Perhaps the most luxurious DVC resort is Disney’s Aulani, a tropical Hawaiian paradise situated on the island of Oahu.
Other locations include Disney’s two U.S. theme park resorts, Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina. Other perks include free magnets, shopping bags, buttons, and enhanced resort check-in activities and experiences.
