The perfect Actor for Indy would be Brandon Sklenar from 1923 Yellowstone, I have watched all Indiana Jones and even have the Young Indiana Jones collection, Brandon is one the most talented talked about actors around , theres lost of stories to be told
Fuck no! Leave the original in tact! There’s nothing wrong with this series! If anything come up with something new or let the series die completely! There’s NO NEED for a fucking reboot of every old movie!
Wasn’t there a story about the scorpion that wanted to cross a creek and every creature turned him down until he finally promised one he wouldn’t sting them while crossing. The scorpion did sting his provider and the provider asked why. The scorpion replied “it’s what I do”. This is what Disney has become, lacking original ideas just killing the classics thinking a new one will be better.
No Harrison Ford, no Indiana Jones!! Try waiting 30 years or so…then it could be alright.
But DISNEY!! For the love of Mickey, find some ORIGINAL material! Quit turning animation into live action, please! It’s not needed! Go way back to The Wonderful World of Disney from tv…find one of the live action episodes there and flesh it out if you want to reboot. Think about it.
Unlike James Bond, where different actors can play the character, Indiana Jones is solely identified as Harrison Ford. A reboot would be received as well as Solo: A Star Wars story was.
Speaking as a job-seeking anthropologist and writer who majored in archaeology in undergrad, and has also acted and owns a fedora, absolutely–cast me! Or at least let me write the script!
But seriously, I’m divided on this one. On one hand, I’d love to see more Indy adventures from the Thirties and Forties. There are endless stories to tell, including when he was in the OSS. On the other hand, it’s hard to imagine anyone else in that role. So here’s a solution: make the new films with Harrison Ford de-aged, like they did in the last film for the WWII sequence. I thought it was pretty believable. Could that be sustained for an entire film? I’m not sure, but probably, especially as the technology improves.
Why not just make Garrison Ford’s Indy the father figure adventurer ala Sean Connery’s role and have him work with the next generation of the Jones clan?
They have to reboot because Disney has no creativity whatsoever. They have driven them out one and all and have replaced them with people who are more interested in diversity, inclusion blah blah blah. It infects the whole company.

Sorry for the typo. Harrison, not Garrison.

Austin Butler could do a nice Indiana Jones protégé. With Harrison Ford mentoring him in a show, then taking over the spotlight in future shows.
