We attended a theme park one summer as a family. There was a young lady, selling frozen lemonade from a cart. She was at the side of a path, with a stocked cart. Her only shade was a little umbrella, that I did not think was cutting it. After taking care of our order, I said thank you. The look on her face was surprise. Like I was the first person to say it to her that day. She smiled and said a very warm, you’re welcome. Broke my heart. These people work all day, so we can have fun, and a very under appreciated.

As a family member of this employee, thank you for writing such a beautiful and sensitive article. This is one that his mom could read and would appreciate. Thank you! Words matter!

Hi. My name is Tavia. I suffer from several mental illnesses, depression and anxiety being the result of it. I just want people to know how important it is to just have someone who actually loves you tell you they love you everyday and every night. It is no joke. My depression eats me inside out some days. When I receive love it takes the urgency to “go away” away. I’m sorry for the family who is suffering a loss. I pray for their strength and comfort and healing. Pray for me also if you can. I have 3 young children that I hope never see the dark days many of us encounter day to day. To the person reading this that is the same I just want to say I LOVE YOU, HOLD ON, AND ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT. THE HOTLINE WORKS BECAUSE THEY DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR INITIAL THOUGHTS.
