A large blue sign at the entrance of Cedar Point amusement park with the text "Welcome to Cedar Point" in white. Above the sign, people are experiencing an exhilarating roller coaster ride, soaring through the air with the blue track in clear view against a bright sky as PETA advocates nearby.

Right, the internet can always be counted on to be all about hype! I almost had a heart attack, thought the whole entire park was closing, my family and I have plans to go there next week so I definitely clicked on this to realize they were only talking about the temporary closure of the water park🙄😆

This park sucks we got on 2 rides then it starting raining so bad we had to leave. No compensation or anything that is ridiculous. High tickets, expensive parking and to come from north Carolina and get no compensation like I’m done.

      1. JA

Not an amusement park in the world gonna refund you a dime cause it rained.

        1. Miranda

Actually, yes, they will comp your tickets if the park closes within the first hour of it opening.

      2. Sweet

Wow. This has been going on a long time. No compensation on those days you get rained out.

I understand your frustration unfortunately in the years that I’ve played golf Palm Springs Hawaii I paid absorbent prices to tee off and always paid in advance never when it started raining they shut the course down and I never got a rain check that pissed me off as well however it is standard procedure LOL let’s go figure I was there five years ago at the park at that point I was 65 I wrote every ride in the park with my aging friends we were planning another one until this came up I refuse to fly rent a car to find out it closes during the time I was in transit!

Normal business for all parks. And your loss not theirs. Best park around and I’ve been to many!

Don’t plan a day at an amusement park when it is supposed to rain. Everyone knows that AND the tickes say no refunds for rain. Mostly because most people with a brain know Rollercoasters dont run in the rain.

      6. Bridget

Definitely not a good way to treat it’s customers.

      7. You’re a refukintarded self-entitled Karen. Why should a park issue a refund for THE WEATHER. they didnt make it rain. If you’d gotten hurt because thy didn’t shutdown, you’d have sued them. Go drink drano, Karen. you’re wasting oxygen.

The employee building they’re showing isn’t even tall, so another harmful thing was done to him! I’m just praying to God for the entire World!

Yeah they said Cedar point is closed but it’s just the water park….and only go there of you have 2 days at the park 2 full days of coasters is rough…we usually go during the week so not as busy

I worked at Six Flags New England and eventually it turned into Hell.
Working out in the parking lot, charging people $15 a day, in the hot sun. They left me out there for so long one day that I went my pants.

You didn’t get a break? It’s my understanding after 4 hours everyone is entitled by law of 15 minute piss break did you at least have something to drink?

This article popped up on my Google feed and I live in DALLAS TX. I thought Google geographically targeted its articles??? If it had stated the state or city upfront I could have skipped wasting my time reading about something on the other side of the country.

I live in Dallas too lol. Not sure why this even popped up. I’ve never been to this amusement/water park. My condolences to all the loved ones tho.

This park was so amazing growing up I’m a 1992 child and going there and getting to see and explore this place, it was the best park ever! Now I don’t know what is all going on but I hope they stop switching up the water rides and ect the place was amazing just the way it was, this is the place you take your kids and make memories like come on now.

Why do people think they should be reimbursed because of the weather. That’s the chance you’re going to have to take.

Thats why Holiday world is better. Free parking free drinks free sunscreen and they guarantee if its raining for more than 90 mins you get to come back for a free day.
