The Galactic Starcruiser should have been just a regular themed hotel most of the year (themed for Star Wars) and had the immersive event from April through June and each event should have been 5 days (6 night stays). Also, the hotel should have been a crashed ship turned hotel (like full scale Star Destroyer, but crashed).

It was pure greed. Disney got so full of themselves they thought people would buy whatever they were selling. Unfortunately that is trademark thinking from far left ideology, that they know it all.

I’d say the greed part is accurate. Ain’t no one gonna pay Galactic Starcruiser’s $4,800 minimum room rate. Also, Disney doesn’t have a far-left agenda, at best they have a left wing agenda while not caring about diversity as they claim, and historically have been more conservative and only become more leftist in the 80s and 90s.

We were just at WDW last week. The roadway signs for the Starcruiser are still present near Hollywood Studios. Disney is good at erasing things very quickly when needed, so why are the signs still out unless they plan to reuse it somewhat in its present form?

Re-theme Pop Century to the (ORIGInAL TRILOGY) Rebel Alliance and Art of Animation to the (OT) Galactic Empire. NO role-playing! Friendly games between the two could be fun (basketball, softball, pickleball, chess, etc,) Include a themed t-shirt in the room price so residents can identify who is from which “side.” They MUST remain bargain resorts

  5. We split our stay at TGSC between 4 people, dropping the total per person to a reasonable amount. When you consider the amount of food, tickets into the park, 4 or 5 star hotel stay etc… splitting it 4 ways was “doable”. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had no complaints about having paid that price. I was immersed in something I absolutely love, amd was able to be a complete Star Wars nerd. I showed up as Snoke, and ofcourse, joined the dark side. I was broken hearted at its closure, but honestly I don’t feel that the marketing was done correctly. If they had advertised it as a per person price with 4 to 5 people per room, I think they would have had a better response. People naturally saw the advertised price for 2 and said no way. It really came down to poor marketing tactics. That being said, and as sad as I was, yes… I do feel that turning it into a family friendly resort would be ideal. I would love to be inside those walls again.

They could have worked it better. Instead of a two-day ‘fully immersive’ experience, they could have just done a Star Wars-themed hotel. Make it so the regular staff are in Star Wars-inspired uniforms, but they could still do some of the things that were done on the Galactic Starcruiser. That way, they would only need some people in character.
