Later this year, Dolly Parton is leaving behind her beloved Smoky Mountains, including her theme park, Dollywood…at least for a little while.

Country music legend Dolly Parton purchased Dollywood 39 years ago in 1986, taking over the former Rebel Railroad theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The singer had vowed to herself that she would give back to her community if she ever made it big, and she made good on that promise by becoming one of the largest employers in the state.

Almost 40 years later, Parton still spends time at Dollywood, occasionally appearing in parades and waving hello to her adoring fans. But later this year, she’ll miss out on some of the park’s holiday festivities in favor of a residency out West.

This week, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Dolly Parton will take over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for a six-show residency from December 4 to 13, 2025. It’s been over 30 years since Parton’s last significant Vegas run; she performed nearly 50 shows at the Mirage from 1990 to 1993.

“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there,” Parton wrote in a statement. “I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there.”

The press release described the concert series, “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the world’s most beloved entertainers at the peak of her success.” Parton will perform hits including “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors.”

According to Dolly Parton’s X (formerly Twitter) account, tickets go on sale on Wednesday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m. PT. No presales have been announced, but VIP packages, including exclusive merchandise, drinks, and photo ops with the country music icon herself, are available.
