It should be mentioned that this change has also been rolled out at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. It is a huge improvement for making meal reservations. The ability to see what days a restaurant has reservations available allows you to adjust your schedule quickly based on availability. This will save you a lot of time trying to plan out your trip.
The changes to the dining reservations are great, but they should also include being able to make reservations for more than six people. I know that my family is not the only one that does a big family trip every other year. And it’s a ROYAL pain to make two reservations, not sit together, two different times. Our last trip, we had 12 people. Next year may be more.
In all fairness, Do any of the restaurants have the capability to seat more than 6 people at a table? Or the ability to move tables together while maintaining fire codes and ADA compliance? That may be more of the limitation than just allowing more guests on a given reservation. The Carnation restaurant in Disneyland can put tables together, but it disrupts the entire indoor seating area when they move tables. I would imagine Florida has the same issues.
