The Swastika symbol is also a Hindu symbol of good luck. It has been used that way for centuries. This information should have been included for this article.
I used to work with a lady who was Hindu and she and a friend gave a demonstration of painting on the skin (I think with
henna but not sure) and one of the symbols was a “swastika”. There are other religions as well – google it. We explained the history of that symbol – they said they did not know – and that was that. I would not advocate for immediate tar and feathering. That said did this person know – he would have had to have been asked and have it explained. Perhaps it was meant as a hateful symbol, perhaps not. So before everyone jumps – calm down a bit and don’t look! Plus no one has the right to go unoffended in public places. If that were the case I see lots of disgustingly clad people in all public places!
Budist, India, and some American Indians use the symbol for religious reasons. You need to look up the history. Hitler was not even close to being the first person to use the symbol.
This symbol is offensive. No argument. If he is behaving, ignore him. If not, report him to security. Standing tall and fearless in his presence says you are not intimidated by him or his symbolism; symbolism that the free world defeated 80 years ago. You are also saying that you will not allow him to mess with your vacation. Be strong. God bless all who reject and oppose Naziism.
Did anybody even ask the man what it stood for? Definitely you should not wear a nazi symbol, that’s basically a sign of evil and should be considered offensive and highly inappropriate. I don’t blame people for being upset.

If Disney confronts guests about their attire, they can confront about inappropriate tats. just cover it up, his free speech/rights are infringing on our/yours.
I see disgusting and sick symbols definitely not for children to see at Disney Parks all the time, especially in June. Like all the LGBTQ+ symbols. Why doesn’t anyone say anything about those which are also very evil? Hell some Disney Parks also have men dressed as ferry godmothers at the Bibaty Bop Boutique which children should definitely not be exposed to, hell I don’t want to see that crap either. Yet I don’t here anyone complaining about that. Must be selective disgust I guess.
There was a time in history when the swastika was a religious symbol. The Nazis adopted it to give their movement a religious credibility. But even religious symbols used in the manner of furthering evil can become synonymous with the evil and this so represent. It may have been a religious symbol long ago. But humans mess it up with such action. In a similar light but not as extreme yet is the abuse of the flag in the last election. The swastika now is full out evil for what it came to represent. No matter what is its origins, it can never return to it. We cannot make light of what it came to or to those whose lives were most for standing against it, doing what was morally right instead of giving in to the evil it came to symbolize.
WDW is a privately owned business and can refuse entry if they feel. Also, there is a policy that reflects this. I remember when Disneyland opened & for years, men could not get in if they have a beard, long hair, or earrings.
Disney should be enforcing their dress code and behavior policies.
Maybe he got it when he was young and stupid or maybe he was a Nazi and has since had a come to Jesus moment, I would have engaged him in a conversation about it. But what is offensive to one is apparently not offensive to someone else cuz I’ve seen some pretty offensive stuff there and I just ignore it and go about my business.

If it is offensive(which it was), the person should been asked to cover it or leave.

Person has that tattoo to create shock, disgust & to offend others! Not okay anywhere let alone Disney!!

It depends on what way the swastika is facing. It could be the sign some religions use
Evan
Please tell me what religions use a backwards swastika as a symbol of their faith.

Let me be very clear that I do NOT support this guy, however, which of YOUR “rights” does someone else’s tattoo infringe upon????

It is offensive, but at what do draw the line? I have a large pentagram on my leg; I’m Wiccan. Some guests could be offended by that.

Just ignore the jerk he wants the attention and this story is giving him what he is looking for
