A busy street scene with a diverse group of people walking and interacting. A police officer stands in the middle, monitoring the crowd. Some people are wearing backpacks, hats, and pushing strollers, including a person in a wheelchair and a child in another stroller at a Disney Park.

Although having your stroller and belongings stolen is a pain and stressful I hardly call it a “Tragedy.” Walmart is right down the street. A “tragedy” would be having your kid in the stroller when it’s stolen.

We keep our little ones things in ziplock bags. So you can clearly see what’s on the stroller. No bags. So, if it is stolen- it’s bare minimum. I don’t understand why people take so much stuff to the parks.

I had my wheelchair taken and traded out for a crappy old one when I rented a brand new bigger one. It was a downer after coming off a ride and finding out that someone traded it out, switched our name plate and took my hat. I now rent a scooter and take the keys with me when we go on rides. IF it was my personal stroller, I would put a tag on it that can be traced especially if it was an expensive one.

Nothing new. 40+ yrs ago stroller was stolen, was a Disney Rental but personal things were gone. Grateful my child wasn’t in it but still….

That’s just terrible 😔 I always said that you can trust to leave your stroller at the parks. I never had a problem when my son & grandson were little & we had a stroller. Even with cast members about, people park & retrieve strollers constantly. Maybe a bike lock you can run through the wheels to the frame, so it won’t roll, would deter theives or at least would sure be noticable if it was taken, as it couldn’t be rolled away.
It is still a shame that you can’t trust your stuff at Disney.

This used to be the most safe place on earth until liberals took over.

When my sons were small we would buy one of those cheap umbrella strollers . No body ever steals those things .

I had a stroller almost taken at Disneyland 42 years ago. I caught the thieves as they were trying to gain access to the cords. I put around and through my stroller and notified Disney security as soon as possible after it occurred. I think they caught the thieves.

My cousin used to work their, one day he invited us to meet up with him to find out he had no money for anything. Then straight out told me that he and others would walk around and steal from the strollers. I told him he was disgusting. And I’ve never talked to him again

  9. Merchandise is probably the most sought after stolen item. This is another reason Disney needs to bring back package pick. If the Disney bags aren’t there I doubt too many people would steal anything else (unless they really want a snack).

Sadly this is common. Adding an AirTag or similar tracking device somewhere hidden on the stroller is a good tip. If it happens to be taken, you may be able to assist security in recovering your items and well as catching the offender. I recommend a waterproof case for the tracker and hot glue it underneath padding on a base or if there are zippered covers under the padding inside the cover well concealed from quick view by would-be thieves.
