This piece is actually about people like you and how ineffectual your whining is.
The reality is that no matter how much fans vow never to return or complain about changes Disney makes, some people just can’t stop going to the Parks. The other reality is that Disney just doesn’t care if guests complain. If it doesn’t hurt its bottom line, Disney doesn’t care.
So, the next time you see someone complaining on social media, just know that it won’t change anything. Most of them will be back, and the others, Disney doesn’t care, as long as someone else steps up to take their place.
I’ve thought about it. Turns out the “needs of the many” involve theme parks running their businesses however they want as more people continue to give them money, regardless of the cost. Disney is no danger of going down the tubes because of a few people’s personal boycotts over not getting their way with their nostalgic faves. You can keep choosing this hill to die on if you want, but your “sacrifice” will never equal a longterm win. Denial is strong with some folks, though, and like Regular Steve said above, logic is wasted on them, so venting on the interwebs is all they have.
But hey, good luck with your “keyboard warrior”-ing.
I’d ask you to show by example that you’re capable of writing something better, but you’ve already proven you can’t, as you didn’t even use the term “hackney” correctly in your last comment. In adjective form, it’s “hackneyed”, not “hackney.” But thanks for contributing some amusing irony to the thread, at the very least.
Except Disney is not fine at all. The parks are ghost towns. And nothing is happening to Frontierland. No Cars is coming, ever. Disney is also being broken up like Standard Oil and the Bells were so that means no more Pixar in the parks to avoid paying licensing fees. I’m posting this from the year 2067 and can confirm everything is true. I have a Time Machine just like Doc Brown and was there for the 75th. Magic Kingdom on October 1, 2046 will be frozen in the 1990s and have not added any new attractions in decades. It will also be me in charge of Disney.
Oh yes it absolutely will. Steve is actually right. Disney is being broken up with its management being blacklisted from Hollywood. And you are being deported back to your country.
As much as I love going to Disney theme parks, the changes that have been made over the years with reservations etc., it just isn’t worth the hassle or $$$.
Over 50 years of WDW and yes you think I will return due to the recent changes.
1 Can’t afford it due to the loss of DAS pass for disabled veterans. Tried after the change and suffered for doing it.
2 Annual pass price increase.
3 Shut down of multiple attractions for more money does not make sense.
Sad turn Disney had taken and Hi Ho, Hi Ho we can’t afford to go.
The truth is, Disney execs really don’t give a damn if you came back or not, they are not Walt Disney who really cared. Greed is king, simple as that. I personally vowed never to ride ta’s ride, and I haven’t and never will. I will always love Disney.
Why should Disney care about the loyal customers who helped build its legacy, right? With deep pockets and investor backing, it seems they’ve decided that pushing their WOKE agenda matters more than delivering the magic that once made them great. But when you prioritize ideology over the guest experience, eventually even the biggest empire can falter. By the time Disney realizes it, the damage may be irreversible. Maybe then, a competitor like Universal will step in and bring back the focus on storytelling and entertainment before it’s too late and call it “Universal World.”
That fact that you think Universal doesn’t do the same or more so proves that you are a deluded fool. Smack your head against a brick wall a few times.
Disney is making some very bad & sad decisions by closing favorite areas and remaking them into something people would have appreciated added to the park in a different area. Disney has the land available to add new attractions, but INSTEAD they’ve killed off favorites! That’s not progress, that’s just stupid! AND the prices have gotten so outrageous, no one I know has gone to Disney in the last year or so! And we live 7 miles away! There’s a lot of great, alternative entertainment out there. Disney is NOT the “King of the Land” anymore!
Florida is not making any changes. It’s all a hoax. The Rivers of America will remain forever and WDW will be great again and back in the 1980s following the breakup of the company under antitrust. Disney after I take over will return to its former glory and never add any new attractions again.
Except none of these changes are happening or will happen. Disney has been stopped by politicians from making any changes. I have a Time Machine and proof that none of these changes have or are happening. Disney is also caring because attendance has dropped like a rock and is facing breakup and the loss of all its acquisitions. When I take over, Disney will be great again and stuck in the 20th century forever second-guessing Walt like it did after his passing. If the Iger supporters scream that I’m bankrupting Disney by lowering prices, not nickel-and-dining guests, keeping the parks stagnant, and catering to purists only then I know I’m doing something right. Disney will not go bankrupt by going back to its roots with lower prices and staying frozen in time.
If the woke management staff at Disney continues give give the show ” The View ” a vote of confidence you honesty think they care about the parks ? As for profit look at Disney stock from a high of 200 per share finally 3 years later it just broke 100 .

Connie, to quote a famous line from a movie, “The need of the many outweigh the need of the few or of the one.” Just think about it.

Yes. And since many people hate this idea, they should listen to them. Don’t be like Hard Rock.

Too many hackney phrases in your comment. It’s time to be a little bit more original. Step up for your thoughts. You can do better. 🙋♂️

Except it won’t be. Not at all. Take everything you said and subtract it by “all of it.” Good day.

Totally agree. The effort needed is not worth it. And once you’re there you can’t wait to leave.👍
