1 it’s summer and most rides do have problems as many guest rides it, plus I really doubt their gonna close down Star Wars all they need to do is work on the controllers.

Sorry, but this ride needs to go. The first time trying this ride out, we ended up spending 4 hours in line, but finally got to ride it. The next time at Disney a few years later, we tried Lightening Pass on it….and yep…broke down and we had to leave the line. It is a fun ride, but I’m not surprised or disappointed that it may go away.

Actually it is a fun ride
Thank you for sharing your experience

I wonder if the same people that work on their websites also work on this ride.

I once spent 45 minutes at the almost end of Pirates of the Caribbean. Just close enough to hear “Johnny Depp” singing but not close enough to get off. They did eventually get everyone off and we got to go to places guest rarely get to see. They gave us a FastPass to go on any other ride we wanted without the line… All-in-all, a pretty cool experience

This same type of thing happened to me on the Superman ride at magic mountain. When we came back down we blew right past where you enter/exit the ride, through the safety net and out into bright sunlight behind the ride where it finally stopped. The employees came out all wide eyed and open mouthed. When we turned around we were maybe a cars length from a brick wall. Sooo there solution was to have us just ride the ride again lol. This time it stopped where it was supposed to.

Every single time I ride Rise at least 2 or 3 focal animatronics aren’t working. It’s especially dumb when kylo is taking to you but he’s not visible because he’s behind some debris (that’s supposed to fall on him/block him AFTER speaking). Having these unmoving characters threaten you just looks so chintzy and makes the whole experience kinda a joke. They shouldn’t have made this ride if they weren’t able to keep it functional.

Happened to my family last month at Hollywood studios. We were at the end of the ride when you land. We got stuck for over 30 minutes. It was cool though the family who was on the ride with us was nice. And Disney gave us 2 free lightening lanes.

Ours is probably the least dramatic stick on a ride experience. We were on People Mover at Magic Kingdom. It stopped a couple times, including once for about ten minutes about wherever the future beauty salon is.

We were coming in to where you get off and the ride shutdown. I think were literally 20 feet from exiting and were stopped for about 20 minutes. They finally manlaly opened the door and we walked to the standard exit.

Wish we would have been other to see exiting in other areas. Like others, we got a lighting lane for MK that day that we negotiated with the EPCOT crew to use the next day.

Look, it happens. Technology and as many times as the ride rolls its going to happen. The thing is be glad there are these safety mechanisms put in place to the stop the ride when something goes silly instead continuing and someone gets killed. The one thing I think could fare better on these big time rides like these is to not use so man hi-tech animatronics and use actual actors for some of these scenes. That and I have been in line and fixing to go when people have deliberately done something to see if it stops the ride, and of course it does. Watched a young chap and his clown friends get escorted to the Security office and then escorted out and off the property and handed a pinkslip which 9 out of 10 times is a forever ban. If you are going someplace just to make other people misreable, because you hate your life, just stay home. Otherwise you going to endup in trouble or you going to piss off the wrong person and they may hurt you really bad.

Ratatouille last April we got stuck for 30 mins right after first screen. Got evacuated. Quite interesting with the lights one. All the rat eyes are just robots and look so weird when the lights are on

I got stuck on the Carousel of Progress for about 30 minutes when it did not progress past the first scene. That song is now permanently stuck in my head.

Even worse if you got stuck on It’s a Small World. lol
      Watch the videos …

      “To the Fair (1964)”

Good God Almighty! Stop your fricken sniveling and whining! Stay home if you can’t handle the thought of an attraction going down! Also, if morons wouldn’t drop items on the tracks maybe the attraction wouldn’t go down as much! Heaven forbid Disney take guest safety seriously!

I was stuck in a coffin! Mission to Mars ride broke down and I was inside it for 2 hours. It was horrifying. I would have been freaking out of claustrophobia more but there was a little kid in there too (4 people to a box) he was really freaking “I can’t breathe” stuff… so I had to say calm tell jokes whatever…never again man!

My favorite ride. Of all time.
